I was suspicious because the person's accent was so thick I could hardly understand her and both this number and the 888 callback number they gave came up as scam numbers on this site, but just to be sure, I logged onto my credit card and there was a fraudulent charge. Just to be safe, I called the number on the back of my card, not the number the caller gave.

I don't even have a Citibank credit card
I received a call from them, they are just doing their job trying to prevent identity fraud/theft. I applied for credit with them and they were just verifying that it was really me not just someone using my info. They did not need my ssn. I would recommend returning their call at 1-800-950-5114.
