Definitely fraud - Claimed to be Citi bank and needed information on my card. I called my bank using the number on the back of my card and they stated that someone called claiming to be me trying to get information on my account today.

Called about a past due balance on a Citi card that I never applied for. Then helped me resolve fraudulent account/identity theft. Everything they told me could be verified on my credit report. This is a legitimate phone number.

This is indeed CitiBank. I had applied for a credit card a few days before, but being an idiot I used my google voice number instead of my regular number. They called me at my cell number to verify I was me before approving the credit card.

I recd the call on 12/20/16 and although it sounded totally fishy and suspicious, it turned out to be Citibank. I had placed a very large wire the day before and they wanted to verify its legitimacy. I actually didn't take the call but called the Citibank number I have used for years and told them about the call and they told me it was legit, and transferred me to same person who had placed the call to me.

It's the bank calling to help you identify fraudulent charges.

Totally legit on my case. I had faxed info to CitiBank this morning and caller knew exactly what I had faxed. BTW, if you want to open account with Citi, allow several weeks. They are really requiring lots of documentation and verification.

legit number from citicard, got a 800 950-5114 from citibank transfer to fraud dept. they wanted to more information about my applicaation. number belongs to citi fraud dept.

Call stating they were the Home Depot consumer fraud dept. about a new account. I don't have an account for HD. They left voice mail and return phone number 866-242-0838
