they did the same to me reported a dismissal as a conviction lost the job
" The customer relatons department (of this big corpporation) was asked if they use InfoSystems and they said "ABSOLUTELY NOT". "that makes sense to me, seeing as the name of this company purportedly is not InfoSystems, but Sterling Testing Systems.
Upon further review, I do see Sterling InfoSystems and Sterling Testing Systems as two possible names...perhaps Sterling is the magic word. For what it's worth, I got a call from them also. Did not ask me to give out anything private but standard verification of employment stuff I get all the time. Did NOT try to sell me anything, although I wanted to sell them a course on how to speak English; I could barely understand them.
Received a call from this number and didn't answer, as I didn't recognize it. They left a message saying they were performing a reference check for potential employment for my niece, whom they named. They asked if I could call back and gave me a reference number to give them when I did. Wanting my niece to have the best chance of being hired, I called them back. After a couple of minutes on hold, I was interviewed by a nice young woman (yes, she had an accent, by she was by no means incomprehensible) who asked me a number of questions about said niece's hire-ability. She was very nice and asked the same questions I would ask if I were looking to hire someone about responsibility, dependability, and communication skills. All in all, a painless experience. I hope my niece gets the job!
This number is legit. I also received a call from them asking to verify employment for one of my old employees.I also had a heads up but didn't know what number or name they would be calling from.
Called to verify employment information on a former employee. Had an indian accent. I do not give that information out on the phone and asked them to send something in writing.
Sterling Infosystems is the worst company. This company needs to not do any background checks for anybody. As result of them reporting dimissed case against me i lost and job. There to stupid to realize false information reported you can lose employment. I have resported Sterling Infosystems to the NJ Attorney General Offfice.
tired of this number trying to get personal info. out of us....we are a gov. entity and that is NOT allowed
Your name is HeadHunter and you have horrible punctuation. Makes sense you would stick up for Sterling and use them. You are hurting them more than helping.

This number comes up as a match to my name on Microsoft search results, and with a different age than MY true age. There is no other ME who has the same first, middle and last name spelled like this that I EVER came across. It's definitely a scam!
