Total Scam, I answered the phone 10 times before someone finally said hello. Some foreign guy claiming he's from Microsoft. When I called him out he called me a Mother -F#@#$@. Maybe this should be reported to Microsoft so they can get these guys arrested for making them look bad. Who still does phone scams...seriously. What an idiot.

Just for the call. Heavy foreign accent. Started in on "our MS operating system". Wife knew this to be nonsense since we are Apple! Told him so and hung up.

Received a call from 222-555-7777 also (twice actually) and called my service, Cablevision to block this number. I was told they can't block it because it's an invalid number. They said the next time this happens to call *57 and then report it to the police. Anyone else get that advice?

I got a call from this number. Of course, I could tell that this was as scam. I said, "Who are you??" He said his name and some other stuff I didn't really understand due to his accent (something about Microsoft). I said, "I have not contacted Microsoft." Then, he went on to say things I could not understand. So I said, "Um I'm going. Thanks...bye." & as I was hanging up, I could hear him say, "Wait why are you going to hang up on me and say bye."Losers. :\

Man called (India accent) said there were problems with Microsoft op sys.and viruses affecting that my antivirus software could not help . He wanted me to log on to a web site which I declined to do.

if you have an iPhone or Android there are options to block those corn-holers. If you have a landline, there are ways to block those corn-holers too. Tracking them down may not be an easy task as they often use VOIP or phone providers that don't provide their actual caller ID. Many calls originate outside the United Sates while taking advantage of phone numbers and features availabe in the United States by VOIP service providers. I DO agree Telemarkters are scum, however I DO NOT agree that this message board is useless. I suggest you Google "how to block telemarketers, unwanted calls, and text messages."

Area code 222 is Mauritania Country, which is the capital of Mauritania an emerging nation located in northwest Africa south of Algeria. They speak Arabic which might explain why they are so hard to understand. Call came from this loser dump to Kansas at 12:33 hours CDT on 9-25-12. Call not answered and no message left. Other sites report this this scam starts with the caller alleging they are from Microsoft and that the person who answered, has a computer in the household that is infected with a virus, and... they will be able to fix it.They have the mark go to the computer and following instructions, go to a prearranged site where Keylogger or a Trojan will be loaded onto the mark's computer. Then they mumbo jumbo Mickey Mouse, and tell you the virus is "fixed". and hang up. Later, of course, they have sucked all the ID information from your machine. Rossi

rec'd approx 7 calls today from this phone number. of course i ignored the call.i just rec'd a new cell phone and stareted get calls, with my old phone this crazy tel# never called.

Non stop calls every 1-2 hrs for the last several days but never any message. I finally answered today out of sheer annoyed frustration. No one spoke. I've blocked that number.
