HELP they won't stop, I just cussed them out and they called back 3 more times just to make me more mad
Had the same thing here. I played with him a bit. Acted stupid, made his wait till I got to the computer. He asked me to check my windows. I told him I have new windows and I don't need help with them. He was getting agitated. Then he said, no, windows on your computer. I told him I had a MAC. He hung up. HA HANext time he calls, I will make him wait for 30 minutes or more. Then tell him I have a MAC.
This guy, or girl, keeps calling my home phone and he or she never says anything. Its kinda freaking me out now.
Have received several phone calls from this number but never answered. Decided to answer this morn to see who it was. definitely suspicious phone number. Said he was calling about my PC that runs Windows operating systems and asked if I was the user of that computer, I said "which computer?" as we have several in our household. He just kep repeating "the windows computer" and explained about the reported error with windows OS. I asked which OS and he said all of them XP, Vista, etc. He said he was calling from San Francisco (bull). I made him repeat himself several times but then told him I was not interested in whatever he was offering. He wanted me to get on my computer...I don't think so! I wasn't born yesterday.
4 hang up calls today from the phone 222-555-7777. Area code not in phone book so put into google and got plenty of info thanks. As stated each call received no-one spoke but hung up after a few secondsI'm in Ontario Canada.
Keeps calling and hanging up. Unfortunately, it is before my alarm goes off in the morning. Also received a message on my answering machine from a woman with a foreign accent.
Just got a call from this guy with thick Indian Accent. Said my computer was infected. I cut him off there. He said he was from Microsoft Support Desk.This happened on 12/3/12. I can see how these guys can scam someone who is not computer savvy.
By answering the phone number if it's from Africa, can we get charged? This # 222-555-7777 has been calling all day today. Very frustrating since we're on the do not call list.

Left voice mail with sound like a horn.
This caller claimed to be a rep from Intuit/QuickBooks & we needed to renew our Subscription for $1899.99. After asking a few questions things sounded strange. Asked her for our PIN # & she did not give the correct number.
Call came in. Hello, hello. No response. Disconnected. Suspect possibly WELLS Fargo (WF) , but no actual idea. Don't trust one moment.
There are 2 other numbers that are from this same number - 1-800-457-4708 and

They say they are calling for Clear Springs RX and has family name has health record.
