IGNORING their calls GUARANTEES that they will continue to call you. Filing complaints with the FTC can take YEARS before anything is done. Asking them to stop accomplishes NOTHING.Getting mad, annoyed and disgusted doesn't matter because THEY DON'T CARE. But it's YOUR phone and YOU control it. All you have to do is answer the call and WASTE THEIR TIME. SCAMMERS HATE TALKING TO PEOPLE WHO WASTE THEIR TIME.Your chances of stopping the calls are much better if you steal their time.Scammers avoid people who mess with them because it disrupts their operation. Don't worry, they won't retaliate because they make millions of calls and don't have the time.
Receive several calls weekly/weekend from this number and when I ask them to take me off their list, and I've asked them numerous times, they get nasty. Why can't we as annoyed people sue these people. They have no right to do this... or they shouldn't have the right.... whichever is the easiest to get legal. The people calling want to lower my credit card interest....it's a scam as how the heck would they know I even have a credit card.....Please stop these people....they are very rude when I ask them to please stop calling.
Yes, this is very frustrating because the Do Not Call registry is being ignored, which is a chargeable offense, but here's the rub: there are services / systems out there that send out whatever name and number they want. You think the call is coming from Colorado? Maybe not. One time my brother showed me how this service worked by calling my house, where I saw my own name and number as the incoming caller information! So, are they really in Colorado (303 #)? Or somewhere else using these services / systems?Others have suggested it's Chase, AT&T, Verizon, etc. These are legit businesses who can't afford to have their name be connected with this kind of scam, especially because so many laws are being broken.I like the idea of calling them back, hearing the announcement that the mailbox is full, but, make sure you put *67 in front of the number before dialing, to block your outgoing caller id (*67-1-303-249-9700). The announcement will say the mailbox is full. Dial 5. Then, when the announcement asks for your number, put in your Attorney General's number, local police non-emergency number, etc., or in my case, I put in 911. I hope their system records these numbers we've input, so their robo-calling will call these numbers. Can you see their system dialing 911 multiple times per day?? LOL
This company calls at least twice a day. The first call usually wakes me up in the morning. When I ask them to take me off the list they hang up.... like all the other stories above.
I have been getting calls from this number and other cell phone numbers from different states. It is some kind of Credit Card debt service. Everytime I try to ask to be removed I am rudely hung up on. I have been receiving these calls for months. I get as many as 2-3 a day!!! It is always a different state too!
