Quick update: In less than 24 hours Equifax and TransUnion both removed the negative items from my credit history. Still waiting on Experian.
I ain't afraid of these bottom feeders from Adams County. The rest of you reading this thread should'nt be either.Fight em tooth and nail and don't give into their threats.
My kid's employer received a call from these clowns who indicated they were lawyers and that she had a debt and asked all kinds of questions. I called them back. He was SO mad, that he wasn't dealing with a 20 year old kid he could bully. BTW....the supposed debt she owed was for a store credit card from 2004-2006.....hmmmm she would have been 14. He had the wrong social security number, the wrong birth date, etc. BUT HEY, So what? She had the same name! And Old Navy gives 14 year olds credit cards don't they? He was a total jerk, started yelling, I told him to stop calling her employer or I would be turning him in for harassment and disclosure. If you get this idiot calling you report him to the Attorney General's OFfice in Colorado. Just pull up the Colorado Attorney General's Office web page. Pull up the complaint form, and complain away. Send it in to the address on the form. Getting these jerks off the street, so that they don't buffalo people into paying debts they don't owe, will do this country a favor. It's too bad scum like this preys off the young, old, and naive.
I should have not been so rude to the agent trying to help me. He made numerous attempts in trying to assist me and I ignored it. I am know in court dealing with a garnishment suit as well as a judgment! Do not run from them if you owe anyone money or you will end up in my shoes, MO MONEY MO PROBLEMS! Just a heads up!
Im telling, they are legit! As stated before:I too could not stand these calls and thought it was a fraud. This is a phone no. linked to a law firm. It is a courtesy call to help those who may or may not be aware that they have a claim against them. I am glad I answered their phone call. It is a serious matter, since I am the one at fault and racked up or overlooked my debt. They let me know the consequences and were very professional and assisted me in rectifying my situation. They could have taken me to court w/ out contacting me. Because of it, I was able to avoid appearing in court and save me from the embarrassment of having a subpoena served to my home or work place. Also, now I can buy my dream home without worrying about a judgment or garnishment against my SSN. Thank Mr. #$%@^&*! for the settlement and notifying me of the consequences of my ir-responsibilities of the past. I received a receipt from them after paying off my debt, SO THEIR ARE LEGIT! Everyone else: MAN UP & take care of your s**t. They are just trying to help!
i did the same thing! US Bank did not have record because they sold me debt off. I contacted US Bank corporate and they confirmed it. This is what the agents told me I was going to expect. I just wasted 2 days of my time investigating a debt knowing I did have a US Bank acct.Again: MAN UP and pay you s**T! take care of your ir-responsibilities!
they are for real. If you have a debt, pay it! the agent i spoke to was very professional. He was willing to work with me and made me feel at ease. He understood my situation and went to bat for me in presenting my file to the attorney. He was able to offer me an installment plan and a huge discounted settlement. call 866.645.9544 and ask for Mr. Arcilla. he even followed up with me to make sure the attorney's sent me all that I requested after paying off my claim amt. Kudos to mr. arcilla!
