They did'nt show. He appeared over the phone. They had none of the documents. Ask for Original account records, statments, receipts of sale and contract with your signiture. They are one of the largest junk debt collection firms. They buy old written off debt for pennies. However most of this debt has no papertrail to to it's ancient age. They have to prove you owe the money. Mostly it's smoke and mirrors.

Thanks for the info. I went to court with another of this ilk and told the attorney I couldn't cross examine a piece of paper and the only witness was an employee of the attorney. That case was dismissed with prejudice. I have them on numerous violations of the FDCRA and will sue if they pursue.

are you refering to the james j standley and associates located in westminster colorado?

I received a call today from a Mr. Michael Hoffman who was calling on behalf of Standley and [***]. about a debt and bla bla bla. so he wasnt to bad at first really hard to understand, like he just got done running a couple miles. well he was telling me about a US bank debt from lik '07 that, lets be honest, i am fully aware of lol. however it all seemed strange to me he had an old address for me. Then one i never even heard of. then he started discussing another case i have with a legitimate collector. I mean he knew all kinds of stuff like how much i owed, my address the last four of my ssn. i called him back after doing some research on them and at that point things got a little on the aggressive side. i asked him for written proof of this debt and he faxed me the demand letter. The demand letter was from GTF services LLC. With the name of their "Legal Manager" Brian Quintana. this paper had two phone numbers on it, one for Standley and [***]. 303-800-9890 and GTF 888-212-9630. and then the number Mr. Hoffman called from 970-315-4892. All of these numbers lead to "The desk of Michael Hoffman. Hmmm?? isnt it a conflict of intrest to work for both the debt collection agency and the attorney representing them? I don't know but i do have a message for James Standley. If you really want to take me to court for this then i am all for it i would be glad to even go as far as come by your office (which happens to be in the same building as GTF Services) and pick up the subpoena in person. Because if the court tells me to pay then so be it, i do owe the debt. But I WILL NOT be threatened, and i will not pay you a dime unless that court says so.

I keep getting calls from a guy named Aaron Barr!! He says he is from the law associates of westminister. I glad I finally looked into him, because he was really rude to me on the phone so I hung up on him. Now I just dont answer when his number shows up. When I did talk to him I told him yes I know I have a debt just send me the papers for court. He got hesitant and said no I know we can work something out. So that gave me a clue to look into this because I have several debts but I have gotten actual papers for court on them. This guy is not real so if anyone else gets calls from him do not call him or even answer. There is no listing of such and address for him. We should all gang up and take his [***] to court. If he was real he would have no problem filing the paperwork for court and delivering it to my address, in which I am sure he knows. So Beware!!!!

I DONT THINK HE CAN MAKE THREATS LIKE THAT SINCE HE WORKS THERE. IS HE AN ATTORNEY? HAS HE BEEN TO LAW SCHOOL? IF THEY SAY THEY ARE GOING TO SUE AND GARNISH DONT THEY "HAVE TO" DO IT OTHER WISE A PERSON COULD SUE THEM? I DONT KNOW, I SUGEST IF THEY DO SUE YOU FILE AN ANSWER REQUESTING ALL DOCUMENTS AND SOMEONE FROM US BANK WOULD HAVE TO APPAEAR ON THIS MATTER. ALL THEY HAVE IS A BALANCE AFFIDAVIT WHICH WILL GET THEM A DEFAULT JUDGEMENT IF SOMEONE DIDNT SHOW UP. BUT IF YOU GO TO COURT AND DISPUTE THIS WONT GO THROUGH 80% SURE BUT THERE IS A CHANCE SO MAKE SURE YOU GOT EVERYTHING COVERED.

Do not worry about this brian quintana guy he isnt going to do anything. do nnot pay him.
