this is a scam, they want to sell you an extended car warranty and steal your money. dirt bags.
315-939-1963 has gotten my house a couple of times. They ask for my son, we reply he's not home and they immediately hang up. If thompson or any of his low life flunks read this, Hey would you like my credit card #? I'd love to buy some of that extended warranty. Oh I you almost forgot, you need the pin # PLEASE keep calling. I know you're not in utica. I'm tracing your calls via the FCC and were going to get you sucka. I'm not scared and look forward to seeing your judgement. to all the good people pray that the flunky's get real jobs and go away.
Told me that I needed to extend my car warranty because its about to expire. Had my car info correct, but I have my warranty through Dodge and it isn't expiring anytime soon.
Calls everyday I just don't answer numbers I don't know any more. they never leave a message either
Calls daily, though we never answer unknown calls. Got sick of it and finally added the number to the Ooma.com blacklist. So if you have Ooma.com Internet phone service, this number shouldn't be able to reach you now. What sucks is that our Ooma number is brand new, less than 3 months old and this a$$hat already has the number.
Got a call from 315-939-1963 (Amanda) with the auto warranty scheme. She transferred me to an alleged Sr Coverage Specialist (Isaiah) who could explain my "options". They even transfer to a 3rd person to verify your "eligibility" to purchase an extended warranty. They say it is their "final attempt" to offer this. Back to Isaiah and he goes over coverage to include engine, transmission, axle, brakes, steering, transmission, A/C, suspension, electronics. Does not cover windshield, tire, battery, hoses, wipers. Gave quote. I asked why they were calling from a wireless number, not a company number. He says they're with Auto Protection Dept and can be found on-line. When I told him I had to check with the auto dealership, he got off the call. This was reported to my car's manufacturer, Federal Trade Commission and Office of Attorney General. I give all this information so you will not be fooled by their script. They did have the make/model, phone number, name but don't fall for it!
We should all file SUE? way to go just telling the whole internet how stupid you are!!!!! You file SUIT. SUIT. as in law suit. Who the [***] is sue???
Let me lay out what I learned in my 2 months as a Screener with this company. The companies name is actually "Auto Protection Department". This is indeed to falsely lead you believe that they are from your automaker. In you car contract you give your manufacturers the right to give their affiliates your information. They collect and sell lists to companies such as this thereby putting them in a grey area. As it stands the Do Not Call list is far from protective. If you have done business with a company they have permission to contact you about the product. This extends to these "affiliates" if you sign that form in your contracts. Also, they use local relays so their calls seem to come from your state. I always thought it was funny that they are based in CA but that is the only state they cannot sell in.The only way I was able to get through the day was the fact that I wasn't selling but passing calls to sales. I could not tell you definitively if it is a scam but it felt like one to me. There are a lot of terms and conditions that negate coverage responsibility and put the cost back on you. Normal wear and tear is where they get you. So much to loath about working there that I cannot describe. My first day on the job there was a fist fight. There were upwards of 250 employees I was one of the few non-parolees. Overall the type of scum that you wouldn't give a dollar to on the street (including management). A large portion of the employees were high and lunches were spend hot-boxing in the parking lot with the radios booming. Imagine how neighboring business felt.Incoming employees are in a small meeting room while sacked employees are waiting 10 feet away for their final check. Why? Because no matter home many people they convinced to go through to the "Closers", no sales were made in a single week period.Training consisted of an hour long run through of what is expected and everyone reading the script verbatim one by one. Then you are rolled out on the flow found a desk and told to sink or swim. They are expected to read from a script. If you ask a question then they have 3 pages of rebuttals to rummage through for answers. It is indeed a 3 step call system. A Screener to get through hang ups, answering machines, non-english speakers, and etc. If we get a lead we transferred to a Closer or at least we waited in line as there were about 20 Closers. If we made it through before the potential customer hung up then they would do their speech. If there is interest then they pass you to a Verifier. They go over qualifications to make sure you qualify. This is actually a good thing. Disqualifiers are things like modding your vehicle or using it commercially. If you pass then you go back to the Closer. They are trained to hang up and move on if it isn't looking like a sale. This group is all about the sale and most of them are [***]. A few a very nice. One fancies himself a pimp and was very vocal about it. So glad I don't have to hear "verify a pimp" anymore.I have read a lot of bad reviews on Auto Protection Alliance and then to distance themselves from a bad BBB rating, complaints, and petitions, they renamed to Auto Protection Department. If I ever called you I apologize. I hate when telemarketers call me and I tried to remember that when some people said the foulest things to me.I hope this helps and if I remember to I will check back to answer questions.
Sir everything she said was 100% legitimate those notices do get sent out most people throw them away thinking it's junk mail I understand getting called at work.is a huge inconvience but the employees here are not dirtbags we have to make w living and strive very hard to make our phone calls a pleasant experience each and everytime
"most people throw them away thinking is it junk mail"--- then what is it? Mine were NOT sent with a first class stamp so it could not be that important. If your company can't spend 49 cents on me (or presorted first class), they are a pathetic - cheapskate company. Why - when asked to drop my number from their data base - do they hang up?? What an honest (NOT) company!!I didn't see the physical address & website for the company either. To ashamed of to post it???
