SCAM. posed as a tech support calling about issues on my computer. I immediately stated do not call me again, this is a scam. Then I hung up on her.
I got this call about mid day with unavailable on my caller ID and no message left on my answering machine. RED FLAG! SCAM all the way.
They were telling me that they are getting error messages from my Microsoft ID (I have a Mac), and that my computer is compromised. I just told her that she was full of [***] and hung up.
amy murphy called me 5 times in a month always telling me something wrong with my computer but computer still going strong one time I did take there help did what thay told me to do push this button push that button I lost everything that was on m y computer next time she calls me I will not answer
Scam. Heavy foreign male accent. Claimed to represent computer maintenance department, that had received reports of my computer sending large volumes of e-mail when connected to the net.
Received this call and tried to call it back from a different number to see who it was. Funny that when I call it I get a recording saying the number has been disconnected but yet it can still place outgoing calls. Huh...
Called around 10AM- Woman was very difficult to understand. Said something about my computer. I just hung up.
Same number called and my husband answered and fell for the scam. I about hit the roof. Changed passwords on all accounts and about to change wifi password. Ugh. I'm freaking out.
Oh Lord my husband got on the computer when they called and fell for the scam. Not sure what to do... changing all passwords.
