Yes it is us. This is our automated prescription service. We obviously deal with many elderly people in our pharmacies who have complained about not knowing their needs for refills. Some here may remember back in March of 2012 a Walgreen survey went out to all our pharmacy customers asking only six questions about service and refill reminders. We did this through the USPS bulk mail-gram service and through store recipes at the cashier level asking people to fill it out online. After a three month review of the survey, we installed the animated auto-refill reminder in our phone system tree. Currently it is working well and still under head office efficiency review by Walgreen.
It's Walgreens, take a chill pill you conspiracy idiots and try to find a life somewhere, somehow! Maybe YOU should check with them and get something OTC before seeking help from a medical professional, fast!
Maybe you can explain how you are being scammed? Your local Walgreen does not do this. It is automated from a corporate headquarter location. A clerk not in pharmacy would have no idea - just like you.
1) It's definitely Walgreen's as all the other posters here have pointed out. (I don't use it myself because I prefer the Walgreen's app.) 2) Because the minimum-wage PFY answering the phone at your local Walgreen's didn't know that they have the service doesn't mean they don't have the service because THEY DO IN FACT HAVE A PRESCRIPTION ALERT CALL!!! 3) Someone could have accidentally given a wrong number for their refill and you got the call. That's why the birth-date verification.
It IS Walgreens, an automated call reminding you that one or more of your prescriptions is due to be refilled. It called me this evening, and I let it go to voicemail (I screen my calls). It left a message with a call back number. I called it back, it confirmed my birthdate (not my ss#) and then informed me which prescription in what dosage was due to be refilled. It's actually pretty handy because I looked and I do only have two days left of that script. So I refilled and it'll be ready tomorrow. Awesome service!
