We've been scammed by the Grocery Group as well, we'll be contacting Duncan Newport, but if you need any information please email us at dimitria76@yahoo.com. We were never told that we would be getting a split shipment and ran out of meat after 3 months. We've been paying them and having to buy our regular groceries as well. Thanks

I'm so glad I went straight to my bank and put a stop payment immediately. Only then did I receive a call from your company saying that I was under contract to pay. However no food was ever delivered nor was any call ever placed to even arrange such a delivery. Fortunately my bank also reimbursed me for the money that was fraudulently taken since I had provided you with my credit card number and did not give authorization to take money from my bank account.If this was simply a handful of immature "so called" customers I doubt you would have a F rating with the BBB or feel the need to change your business name 3 times (at least). You were originally Canadian Fine Foods then the Grocery Group and now Shop at Home. You will continue to receive negative publicity if you continue treating your clients in such an ill mannered way. Whine and cry all you want but it's not slander when it's true!!!
So, I still haven't heard from this group of "concerned" people. I wonder if they've all gotten what they wanted and have moved on with their lives.I have however talked to Katina at Provider Capital a few times and then with Larry. They wanted to deliver what was on the second pick list from Grocery Group. I asked about the items missing, damaged and promised from the first order and they said they couldn't send anything other than what was on the list. I asked about the meat that I was promised from Brad and Julia and they said no, only what's on the list. So, I received a little over $700 worth of food and they wanted to send me another $700 or so worth of food and expected me to pay $5000 for it! I told them my payments totalled over $3200 already and there is no way I'm paying more and they were nice enough to say they would close my account, not send my second half of the order and the would even waive the nonpayment and cancelation fees!! Unreal!! I told Larry I expected to receive a refund for the amount I've overpaid and was flat out told no, I signed a contract for 9 monthly payments to them and the food side of it wasn't their concern. All they want is their money.So as of now my credit card company has refunded 4 of my 6 payments and they are now going to try to get some money back. I hope they can team up with other credit card companies and anyone else out there to put a stop to these crooks and their new company Shop From Home.
We are still waiting for the food they keep telling us they have probleme with delevery ,they can,t find nobody they ask for more time,i told them i just got out of hospital and i can affort to do payment and do a grocerie at the same time. The delivery was suppose to be this week. I live in dubreuilville.
We placed our order with the grocery group on January 13/2013. We have sent faxes, called (but only once got to talk to a real person) the rest of the calls we left messages. No one has ever called us back! About a month ago we stopped payment on groceries we have never received. Michelle from Provider Capitol called and asked why we stopped pymt? We replied because we haven't received any groceries. A few days later Michelle called us and said "we have taken over for the grocery group and any concerns you have you should directly deal with us" Michelle promised us our order by May 6th/2013. That went by. Then last friday they left a message saying our order would be here on Monday May 13/2013. The trucking company called on May 13 and said they would be here on tuesday May 14/2013. I had to take monday and tuesday off of work to be here to receive them. Finally, today May 14, the order came.... Just frozen food, no cans of anything and NO FREEZER which we also ordered. We looked in the truck and the driver looked as well, this was not our full order! We did not accept the order because it wasn't the full order by far, and because we needed the freezer to put the frozen food in! Called the grocery group, surprise NO ANsWER, we called Michelle at provider and left a message. Michelle called us back saying the full order was in the truck, even after I told her that we looked and the driver said there were no canned goods and no freezer. There was only 2 pallets, and they were only 1 foot high? Michelle and her supervisor both said just because it was a small order that there was definitely $6000.00 worth of groceries there! How can the full order be there when there was no canned goods and no freezer!! My husband is disabled and has a heart condition, after talking (arguing) with Michelle and her supervisor he is having chest pains. We are so upset! If my husbands Nitro spray doesn't work within the next hour he will have to go into the hospital because Michelle and her supervisor were so ignorant!! They can take me to court! If they mess up our credit rating because the grocery group has neglected their end of the agreement I will have to sue! If anyone can help us please contact me @ snowbud_101@hotmail.com
I have the exact same problem i waited 2 months for my order and it was incomplete and inaccurate and i had already made two loan payments and because i didn't have the order yet i am hurting financially. I had dented cans, ripped bags of flour and sugar. I have called to have it fixed after two more months they brought me some stuff and its still missing alot. They didn't show up twice on delivery dates they gave me. i have also filed with the BBB and about to file with the consumer protection act i hope to have my contract cancelled its been 4 months now and i still don't have my order fixed. i am also already out of most of my meat after only a month and a half. Beatrix felix ran my bill up to $5660 and made me believe i wouldn't need to buy dry goods for a year i actually spent a weekend cleaning out cupboards to make room and was about to buy more pantries. I am so disappointed with this order. I so regret going with the grocery group they are scammersSTAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY.
I have had it! No response whatsoever to ANY calls, only answering machines and messages or full boxes. Yet i see here that all they consistently do is post to contact them and how easy it is to do it and how they will get back to you by the next business day. HOGWASH!!! You guys don't even answer your damn phones anymore! And then you continue to go on bragging about your customer service! Again.....HOGWASH!!!!! It's non-existent! I also figured out why you guys go through a finance company. It's so you can get All your money right away and run with it. Leaving us to deal with the finance company and not you. Which also leaves you to deal with your customers as little as possible when they discover they are being taken for a ride. They can't stop paying you now can they? After all, you have already been paid in full by the finance company. Which leaves the finance company to deal with us. Smart move. Shady move. Well some of us have some moves of our own. I will be going to some local newspapers about this. I have also contacted The Ministry of Consumer Services regarding you. Do you guys know that you have already been under investigation by them for a while now? They even have someone who has been assigned to your case? You guys sure have attracted ALOT of attention. I have contacted Provider as well and it seems they have been pulling their hair out over you guys as well, as LOTS of other people have been calling them about you. I as well will be joining the club of those who will be taking you to court over this. So....anymore quick, smart, witty comments about your great customer service and how easy you are to reach? Or maybe tell us about how we can get groceries for a year (by the way, thanks to you we will be ending up going to food banks by the end of the summer!)? Or why not tell us all again how we all knew the score when we signed up? Everyone...i am not a former employee, a disgruntled employee, nor am i a non-customer. I AM a customer who has been TAKEN, CHEATED, LIED TO,AND MANIPULATED BY THE GROCERY GROUP or whatever they are calling themselves at this point. After 2 deliveries, not only did they STILL not get it right, but on the 2nd delivery, they promise to show up at 5pm, call and say they will be late and won't be around til 7:30, THEN don't show up til 10pm! And ontop of all that not only did we recieve damaged and almost thawed goods, but we were STILL missing goods that they were supposed to get to us! THEN they "promised" us a 3rd delivery on the 2nd of May with a confirmation call 2 days before as to what time the delivery would take place. NOT only did we not receive no call, but we received no delivery either. When i tried to call for almost 2 weeks i got an answering machine saying their mailbox was full. Then They just didn't answer their phone or return calls. I left emails as well for them. So....Grocery Group...your speeches about your great customer service and satisfaction have run out of steam. You have no more legitimate excuses. As you can see by countless complaints....we are NOT happy, nor are we satisfied. We are mostly now broke, and left wondering how we will all eat the rest of the year thanks to you. but you WILL get yours. No one who does this kind of thing to so many people gets away with it. Ron, Shelly, Andrew, i would advise you three to step upto the plate and FAST. For anyone who is interested i have acquired the numbers for the owners of the Grocery Group (Ron and Shelly) and the manager (Andrew). I have tried to call them but to no surprise all i got was their answering service.
I have nothing but bad things to say about this company, i am getting the run around from them since my order was incomplete and inaccurate. I had to wait past two loan payments before i even got my order, then two more months for the damaged and missing items to be partly replaced i still don't have everything i should have and my meat is almost gone even though i ordered enough and should of lasted 6 months before i needed my 2nd half of the order, i have had two delivery dates but no one showed up or let me know they weren't coming.Nothing but lies scams and run arounds from these crooks
You couldn't be more wrong i am sorry but the grocery group are scammers and liersI am at 4 months now and still waiting for my order to be fixed . i had to wait 2 months before my order came and it was wrong and damaged plus i had to buy groceries at the store and pay two payments of my loan. I cannot believe some people have no problems with them. They keep saying they will fix it i keep getting delivery dates and no one shows up, and i am tired of it. They won't let me out of the contract either. But BBB and the consumer protection act says to put in a complaint which i am
