AP- you must remember this, this company is a COMMERCIAL collections agency, Fair Debt doeas not apply since this is not a consumer debt, they can call neighbor current and past employees, the police, lawyers, anybody, as long as they do it between 8am to 9pm, my suggestion to all is to pay your debt owed to them, if you owe it, because they will have the debt sued and then you are subject to wage garnishments and bank account attachments

Got a letter for collecgtions, then a solicitation for services, now another phone call. I called and got transferred, told them I don't advertise and never have, he confirmed my phone number and said he would take it off the list. OK. Now I fully expect to be billed again and this time they will have a dubbed over recording with me telling him I ordered their services and will pay them. We'll see. . . .

I am receiving phone calls from McCarthy Burgess and Wolf. They say I owe for a yellow page ad. This bill was paid many years ago and now they are calling for my accounts payable department. They are idiots and you can't make them understand anything. Especially that that has been paid .. even the Berry Company says it has been paid.

Jackie, this is a COMMERCIAL collection agency, Fair debt practices act does not apply to them, they have to supply nothing to you. This company makes their money on counter suit to people who file class action suits against them, they have made millions on counter suits because they are not a consumer company.

I have gotten 4 calls today. They call my home, they call my business. They speak with my employees. I told them I prefer to deal directly with IDEARC(verizon) directly. Ms. Mason gave personal information about my account today to my employee. My employee said I was out of town and Ms. Mason lied and said she had just gotten off the phone with my wife who stated I was in town. She did not speak with me or my wife today. She is always rude when she calls and makes threats. She leads you to believe she is an attorney with McCarthy Burgess and Wolf most resently she threatened to bring charges against me.

My credit rating is 830 so I have no idea why they are calling me. Its on my cell so I blocked their number. They have about 4 numbers they work from so I blocked them all. Its quiet right now.

JR read the FDCPA before you give these people wrong information, FDCPA does nto apply to commercial debt

They are NOT a law firm. They are a simple collection agency called "McCarthy Burgess & Wolff." They try to make themselves come across as attorney's to "scare" people into paying, but the simple fact is, they are nothing more than pond feeders. Never deal with a collection agency. If you are in a position to make a payment arrangement, deal with the creditor. Collection agencies have no enforcement power to do anything but send letters and make phone calls.
