The 440-735-5100 asked to speak with my husband. She would not identify herself until I demanded. She then identified herself as Regina of McCarthy, Verges and Wolff. From the posts on this site this "firm" is identified as a collection agency. We have AAA perfect credit so I suggested to her that she must have my husband mixed up with a person of the same name local to us.I just called the number back and asked "Ken" who answered if their outfit was a scam. He said it was a collection agency and after our conversation he said he'd take our name off their list.

Called me. Asking for me, blocked number.A possible zombie debt.After five years a debt is not owed to a company.It becomes a tax write off.Places like this buy the dept note cheap and try to cash in on unsuspecting fools.

You all need to come to a realization that you so angry because you truly owe these debts and have no way to pay them and come up with every excuse possible, including blaming the company who is trying to collect. First of all, if you answer you phone the first time, you would probably get this resolved. Secondly, our company does not collect consumer debt, we specialize in business and commercial debt and we do not call people we cannot collect on. We do have proof of these debts to fax or email to you, but low and behold we get wrong fax numbers and email addresses that do not exist. Each and every one of you had no problems when these debts were first incurred, were very happy with the product, now to avoid repayment it is better to get on these forums and make people think you are the victim. Pay your bills so you do not get sued, we keep these documents as evidence so when they do go to court we have our leg to stand on.

DID YOU REPORT THEM TO THE AG? If not - why not ? YOU have to report them as do all others getting these same calls. if you do not report them - nothing can be done to stop them! DO YOUR PART TO PUT THEM OUT OF BUSINESS!

I just got my 1st call from these maggots and googled their number and found this site. I cant wait til they call me again. They will hear the mos vulgar, vile language they ever heard in their life.

New Panasonic phone has capable blocking 250 number, or you can buy pro call blokcer block up to 1500 number ( I have 2 of these)They only have 1 chance to call(harrass) me, and their number is in history (well, they spoof number and I keep blocking them again)You can file a complaint to ftc ( It may or may not work) but it there's enough people to complaint, things will change ?

This is a collection agency McCarthy Burgess and Wolf. They try to scare you into believing that they are a law firm by using such terms as "We have a case number" or "a pending legal matter.." The bottom line is that they are a collection agency, plain and simple and they must follow the guidelines of the FDCPA. Simply hang up on them when they call.

Not our debt. Company with similar name. Calls 3-4 times per day for over a year now on our 1-800 business number. Have called back more than once asking for proof of debt/paperwork (there is none, so it never arrives). The phone calls stop for a couple of weeks and then start up again. I get billed for their computer phone calls. It is very annoying. I am in the process of putting together a bill for long distance charges on the unwanted phone calls and sending it to them registered mail. I am pissed off enough to sue them for the phone charges.

Continually, at the main office number we are recieving a call from McCarthy Burgess and Wolf they ask, in a recording that we call them back, at 440-735-5115 with an extension that is 8 digits long. From what I read, it seems that they have to be called back. I will just hang up from now on. Thank you all for your posts.
