We received repeated phone calls to our business office, at 406-541-4436. I asked them (as the owner) not to call again yesterday, 7-21-14, and yet they called again today. We are in Montana.

This is part of the American Community Survey which MANY in Congress believe is NOT Constitutional. Rand Paul, Ted Poe, and Darrell Issa all have Bills to put an end to making it mandatory under threat of fines. It's a gross invasion of Privacy under the 4th Amendment just for starters.I am presently being harassed (in my opinion) and they just assigned a case number via a Census Bureau Voicemail from 520-798-4152 (but the message was not directed to any specific person by name). I ran across an organization that is planning a possible Class Action suit to put a stop to this gross invasion of our Privacy. I have NO Association with this Organization except to have contacted them myself - it's the Rutherford Institute at 434-978-3888 and it's worth giving them a call if you feel this is an inappropriate invasion of Privacy. From what I can gather, they are kind of like the ACLU but more to the Right and work to protect the Constitution. They know all about the American Community Survey and may file a Class Action Suit from what they told me.

Not requested call

My mother keeps receiving multiple calls from this number including on the weekends. She stopped answering the phone now when she sees the number. They never leave messages but continue calling. They apparently even sent her some "survey" on the mail that they are saying is mandatory to be completed. WHat in the world is this????

Called didn't not leave message. After reading all these complaints I will not call them back.

I just got a phone call from this number today, it's October 2014. I never provided my cell number on the census form, so how d othye have it? Or is the Do Not Call registry a way to get phone numbers we don't provide? I have no clue what the woman who left me a message said because her accent was so heavy, and it was the second time they called.

Caller ID spoofing! Any number can looked up on the internet and fed into caller I'd so NO you can't verify the number. And the gov always says ' we don't call you unless you ask us to. That's how you spot a scam' So this is a scam by the gov's own definition. Don't answer the call or the questions.

This is the US census bureau, it's not against the law to ignore them. They are getting blocked. 5 people live here, that's all they need to know. Invasion of privacy much?! Nobody cares if you're alive anyways with the government smdh

First call was at 7:36. With cid L8A2 DOC BOC 99. Second call was at 7:51 p.m. With cid Census Bureau with the number 812-218-3144. Have also gotten numerous calls a day from a 240 exchange. It is Sunday 9/11/2016. They don't respect Sunday's nor the fact this is an anniversary of the worst tragedy on American soil. I don't answer the phone anymore. While on vacation our cid listed 50 calls, none of which had legitimate numbers. Even if they really are the real census, they can take a hike. Will not answer any intrusive community surveys
