Correct - surveys are done by mail or in person. But they have to confirm the address and the person to send it to - hence the phone call requesting to confirm baseline info. So, did you actually call the number, or did you spend more time internet sluthing it?

By the actions and responses recorded above, the caller from 520-798-4152 fits the profile of a scammer regardless of what they say about being from the census bureau.3. Never - NEVER volunteer information of any kind to such a caller.4. If you picked up the phone by accident (s**t happens) hang up on them.5. Get a blocking program (there are several available) for your phone and 6. Add this number to the Blacklist.

Not a scam - legitimate Census Bureau call.

I have been getting these from the so called census bureau. It has to be a hoax because the census bureau does not ask you questions about when each person leaves in the morning for work and how long it take you to get there. It sounds like you are being set up to be robbed.

Just received call from this number at 11:30 pm. Woke me up. I did not get to the phone in time and they did not leave a message. Thinking this is not from a legit place and will block the call in the future.

I too received two calls on my cell phone from 812-218-3144 and do not want anymore! They say it is the census surveyHow did they get a cell phone number to begin with! Did AT&T get strong armed by the Gov! I have no intentions of taking a call from this number.

A series of harassing calls from a female voice purporting to be from the Census Bureau. NOt sure how the real census bureau would have a cell phone number never provided them, but confident these persistant pests are a scam

I've received several calls from this number. I don't for a moment believe it is from the census bureau. Just got another. It is nothing but a scam.
