I had to declare bankruptcy. I don't fault Calvery for calling, they are doing their job. I fault the idiots who sold my account to them KNOWING FULL WELL that I have an attorney and they aren't supposed to be calling me, but conveniently they neglect to provide that information to Calvary. Nice.

Got a call from this number about 5 minutes til 9 PM! I did not answer but a message was left saying they are a debt collector, leaving a call back number of 888-229-6011 plus a reference number. I don't believe that this is legitimate because I have not gotten anything via snail mail about whatever debt they called about -- like the law states they need to do. I am suspicious about the call. I am on the federal and my state's do not call list so if they call again I will report it.

Got a call from this number which shows up as Calvary on caller ID -- asked for Jennifer; said she didn't live here, never did - I don't know her.

Guy very rudely questioned me about a 7 year old debt. Calvary portfolio services collector.

caller who spoke in broken english, left a message for a michael (middle and last name) jr. and that if I was NOT that person(I'm not and don't even know the person they were calling for) to delete message, and if I was, I should listen to the message in private..went on to say they were a collection agency ( Cavalry Portfolio) and that they were attempting to collect a debt and any response will be used for that purpose etc... wanted this person to call back at 877-301-2070 and provide a reference number 12387319....I feel sorry for this person...who knows how many phone numbers they are leaving this message on. Is it even legal to leave a detailed message like this on a answer machine?

These people call me all day, 7 days a week. I will not under any circumstance send them any money. I am trying to work with the original debt holder on a payment arrangement. I was out of work for 8 months due to my former company closing their doors. I did the best I could under the circumstances but it's just not good enough for any of these nasty people. Yes, I owe the debt BUT as they say you can't get blood from a stone. If the company had never closed their doors I would have been able to pay off the debt no problem but now it's just not easy. I'm lucky enough to have found permenant employment given the state of our country but it's at a huge cut in my previous pay. I just wish these people would leave me alone. I will never, ever deal with a 2nd or 3rd collection agency as they are the nastiest and lowest forms of human beings out there.

This number has called me many many times. I have no debts outstanding. They leave messages telling me to delete the message without listening to more if I am not who they are calling for. I do this...and they keep calling. What is the cut off time for a company to call a cell phone? Also...how do they keep getting my number? I changed my number because of their harrassing calls. About a month after I changed my number, they started calling again. This company needs to be held accountable for their shady, illegal practices. I must however, contest the trashy southerner stereotype that keeps being discussed here- I am from the south...definitely not trashy. Maybe it's trashy bill collectors instead, regardless of region.
