BTW, I had a collection agency call my home recently, for someone of the same last name, but certainly don't know him at all, and the recording actually said "If you are NOT this person, please call ###..." What??? Now I'm gonna take my time to call such and such agency to tell them they have the wrong residence? Then guess what... all kinds of questions will arise about someone I never even heard of. Love this new one.... "if your not this person, or this person doesn't reside in your household, please call ###". HA HA HA
LOL they called me this morning acting like someone I knew. The lady said,"Hey, is Jen there?" Fortunately I didn't recognize the voice and replied,"nope" yea I made mistakes and fell behind on some things but guess what, in a year it'll be off my credit report why pay now? Call me what you want but times are hard they aren't getting a dime from me!!!
602-667-0128 I have told them many times they have the wrong number. They just end up passing it on to another collection agency that i have NOT requested to stop calling. I have reported them to my states Public Service Commission. They will be fined.
I receive a call monthly on my cell phone looking for someone I've never heard of. Every month I call back and get Cavalry. I tell them I've never heard of this person and they say they'll take care of it and then I get another call.
They call me every day and some days they call every hour. I don't answer my cell phone at work, but they leave messages how I am to promptly call them back immediately. They even call my cell phone after 9pm local time. I finally picked up the phone when they called at 9pm to tell them they just broke the law and that I was reporting them to the Attorney General's office. I then told them that I do not do financial business over the telephone and that they need to mail me documentation proving I owe them the amount stated and how they came up with that amount. 4 weeks went by and the only thing I got in the mail was a coupon for 20% off my bill. Well, gee, that helps. I asked them not to call me again until they could figure out what "documentation" meant. They still call every day. I will not answer the phone until they mail me proof.
i got my first call from these people. any time i get a call from an unidentified caller, (1) i don't answer; (2) i check the number to find out who it is. you should read the statute of limitations for your state as well as the federal fair debt collection practices.if the caller and his company are in violation call (1) the better business bureau in the caller's area or city. most better business bureaus will notify the caller of the complaint; (2) no results go your local d.a. and file a complaint; (3) if that doesn't work, tell them to sue. if a justice of the peace court it will cost them too much money to hire an attorney; or if a district court, it will still cost them an arm and a leg to sue.Incidentally, don't pay accrued interest on the debt which has been written off by the original creditor. good luck. stand up to these rats.
I have recieved calls from Cavalry Portfolio three times looking for my wife, this time from someone named Heather, when I ask if I can take a message they hangup.
i just got a call from these jerks saying my name and number was given to them as a reference for someone. I told them I didn't recognize the name and hung up. they called right back with a different first name but same last name; i acknowledged that i recognized the name but had not spoken to this person in fifteen years.these people are a collection agency and somehow, I sure don't know how, have linked my name and phone number with the person they are chasing down.what ruthless scumbags
