Get repeated calls from this number. I don't answer and they hang up leaving no message. I have my phone listed with the DO NOT CALL LIST. What gives?
Was called tonight from the 703-272-4699 number. Indian sounding voice of woman stating a problem with a virus on my computer. I've heard of this scam before, so I played along with her. Hysterical, I asked what should I do, my god, my computer. Well she caught on to my hysteria, fake and said look at the left of the key board it spells fu##y##. I was not in the least surprised. Tried to redial the call. And of course was not a working number. SOMETHING NEEDS TO BE DONE WITH THESE SCAMMMERS. SERIOUSLY DONE. THIS IS NOT RIGHT.
Received a call from this unfamiliar number. Then I read about it on this lookup. I'm on a no call list.
Answered Got an automated message claiming my debit MasterCard had been frozen and they were connecting me to the security department. Odd since I don't use master card, similar scam attempt last week from a different number identical message except they tried saying my Amex was frozen which I also don't use.
I got the same call. I kept him on the phone for 15minutes trying to "fix my computer" once I told him I had an Apple he called me an a#%hole and hung up on me. This is my favorite thing to do. Pass it on. It really pisses them off.
Tell this idiot that you do not have a computer.......end of story!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So tired of outofarea bs calls!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
SCAM. I didn't recognize the number and didn't pick up. Caller ID simply says "Virginia" and the phone number. The call left a LONG, bogus recorded message on voice mail stating that I can save 60% on my electricity and can stop the "14% increase that is coming soon for my electric bill".Of course:1) they don't know who I am2) the don't know where I live3) they don't know who my electric provider is4) my provider has no rate increase the pipeline5) the state would never approve a 14% increase6) it is clearly a phishing scam to get gullible people to give out personal information so they can "stop your electric bill from going up" when in reality they will use your social security number or utility bill information and other details to make your debt go up and your credit worthiness go down if you are foolish enough to given them any personal details.
I received a call 6/18.. claiming he was a computer expert, there was a problem with my system. When asked who was my provider, he stated he did not know. Obviously this is a scam, however my question is who to report this to. It appears with all of our technology in this country no one is able or willing to pursue the garbage connected to this number, which from these post is ongoing
