I think these people use a apps using different numbers to call innocent people to give them the virus I was someone can trace them and hope they catch these guys
Gentleman with an Indian accent calling from this number saying his name was John Adams. I asked him if he was a very distant relative of our 2nd president. He said who? I hung up. Just scammers is all.
Got a call from this number tonight looking for the computer owner. Said they were from Microsoft. When I stated I also worked for Microsoft and asked why they were calling me they hung up.
I received a call from 703-272-4699 saying they wee from the IRS and I owed money.
I just had the same thing happen to me also. An man with an Indian accent called to say he was from Microsoft and that my computer was being hacked and he would have to cancel my Microsoft license in 2 days. When I started to ask questions he hung up. I thought that was the end of it but I just received another call from the same number 703-272-4699 but I didn't answer it this time. I went to Best Buy, asked the Geek Squad they said it is a scam.
Received same call about problem with my windows computer. When I asked what company s/he (hard to tell) was calling from, s/he kept saying "Windows." When I questioned further, s/he hung up.
