They called again today and they asked for me. I told them they had the wrong number but I asked who they were. They said it was "mike mcbride with student service" Have you recently graduated from college?
Just received a call from this number 727-412-7624. A guy asked for me by first name only, stated he was from Direct Student Services. When I confirmed who I was, he said thank you and hung up. When I tried to dial the number back, a verizon wireless recording answered and stated that number was a non working number. I graduated from college in June 2006.
I just looked up the area code and it's for Pinellas County, Florida (where St. Petersburg is). I live in Georgia...
warlord, i agree with you. i recently graduated from college and received a notice from my school about sensitive data being stolen. maybe it is the hackers. i bet we are from the same school in atl.
I live in Ohio and I got a call from this number today on my Cell while I was working around 10 a.m. Same thing as everyone else. No voicemail. I tried to call it and it rang busy. I did some googling and a search on anywho and white pages. The number is registered to a Clearwater, FL address. It's also a landline. I wonder if they're compliling data from somewhere. Monster.com or somewhere where resumes have been posted with personal info. They could pay for access to it and steal numbers to sell to telemarketers for profit. This is all hypothetical of course.
They called once today as my family and I were on our way home from vacation in SC. They hung up when my husband tried to answer, and a call back wouldn't go through.
same thing as all of you. just graduated from georgia tech and we recieved an email saying sensitive info was stolen. now im getting these calls at 9:40am two days in a row. very strange. (Atlanta, T-mobile)
they keep calling and calling every day. has anybody figured out what this call is being made for? I think I'm gonna start cussing them out from now on/

Yes. The caller claimed to represent Document Delivery Services and threatened to serve me with papers from a fifteen year old debt. A check with my local County Clerk’s Office revealed no evidence of lawsuit filed.
