I follow the prompts to have them stop calling me but it does no good. They keep calling. Make it stop, please.

They got your information from something you did. If your phone number is unlisted, it should never show up in a database. The only way they could have found it is through a computer program that random dials or you clicked a link on a website, entered a contest, or "Liked" something in a social network environment. I for one hadn't received a telemarketing phone call in 3 years after filing with the NDNC. I then joined Facebook and set up a profile. I have been getting calls ever since. Most people will stop calling if you tell them you're on the National Do Not Call list and will comply to the federal law created by it. The problem is you have those that use U.S. numbers but are actually dialing from somewhere outside the country which makes them exempt from U.S. regulations. Here is where we run in to a problem. Most people want to keep the internet unregulated and uncensored. In order for this to happen we have to deal with what the people outside the U.S. do. This being said, we can give the government control of our internet use, or we can accept the fact that we are going to be inconvenienced by people like this and move on. Don't answer the phone and they can't bother you. If they leave a message, delete it. This isn't hard folks and we don't have to get so worked up over it that it ruins our day. It only takes a few seconds to get rid of them or ignore them. The phone ringing never killed anyone, unless they had a blasting cap rigged to the low voltage coming in through the phone line, but that's another subject for another time. Seriously people it's nothing more than the phone ringing. Get past it and go love your families. It's a better way to live and much less stressful. The phone will ring. It's a fact of life in modern society. Most of us have caller ID and if you don't it's time to move in to the 21st century. Live, Love, and Prosper! Don't give out personal information to anyone, Secure your Facebook account and stop liking everything, No one really cares if you like it or not and in my case I most often wonder what the hell someone would like that for in the first place. Facebook will sell your information if you play a game, like something or join a group that you have to click a permission link for. Zynga games is a huge culprit. Protect yourselves people and you won't be troubled by these people.

Interesting that the news is filled with the endless diatribe about how the government shouldn't be in our lives or telling us what to do, but now it is the governments responsibility to stop annoyance calls.

Received this call regarding reducing credit card interest. Told him to remove me from his call list and he called me stupid and hung up.

got a call from them today! AGAIN!!! after MANY Times!After listening to their schpiel about lowering interest rates, keeping them on the line for over 3 minutes, and gave them false information about my interest rate and amount owed, I told them a different name from my own, I told them to call 407-246-2470 and ask for Detective Mike Stevens. I also told them that the call was was being traced for specific activity regarding the "Do Not Call" list, and they were previously reported to the FCC.They actually told me that "They worked for the credit card company."After I told the lady that, she decided to thank me and hung up.Oh, it's gonna be a PAY DAY for all of us that file with the FCC! Per incident! Keep your records folks! File every claim!

Nothing ever happens when you file a complaint.

The do not call list does no good. I have been on it for years and still get the same crap calls from the same places.

I get these calls on a daily basis and when I push 1 to talk to a person I try to explain that I want the calls stopped and they immediately hang up before I can continue.
