you kill me, "nearly a victim", they wouldnt be calling you if you didnt owe a debt in the first place and 2nd do REALLY think that they are going to email you, seriously, all the viruses that goes on, they do not email debtors and in their eyes that is a stall tatick because you dont have the $ to pay. So your calls stop because you got recommended for suit and is waiting to serve you or your credit is so bad and you dont have ang assets to put a lean on or your not working to garnish your check or they see your just not worth it with all the bad debt and will close it and send it back to the creditor, but see most people arent like you and care about their credit cause you cant get nothing good in life without it. So if you want to drive a old broke down car and pay a landlord and buy used furniture more power do you. For those that dont want to hide and want to pay but fell behind due to what ever reason be honest with the collector you will be happy how they will bend over backwards to help you out.

i keep getting a call from hann frederick & asks me to verify my birthdate & last 4 digits of my social security. i tell him i will not release that info over the phone & he gets upset & says i can release that maam you do have legai issues...i'm disabled & have no bills......i have an unlisted phone # & am on the no call list.....how do these idiots get my #.........how do i get rid of this idiot

I am an Administrative Secretary and a person at this number named Brian Pitts keeps calling one of the employees in my department. If he can't get a hold of the person he is calling he asks to speak to me. This is a place of business and we do not wish to receive these calls and will report them to the Secretary General of our state.

john smith collectors will not say they are going to sue you unless the atty office is going to and when they leave a msg they have to say this call is from a debt collector due to the fdcpa, and they can call your employer and leave msgs twice a week. You have to pay your debt whether its volentary or involentary, so when your called at work your first thought should be i should work out something or they might garnish my pay check. They call you for a reason and either you chose to stop paying or something happened in your life that caused you to fall behind. Collectors can tell by the credit report. Someone took out a card 10years ago 8 months ago everything was falling behind--something happened, job loss, devorice, medical--they will help you, then you have a card taken out a year or 2 ago and there is a 10k balance well if you dont work it out the collector will recommend it for suit quick cause how did u run it up and charge it off in such short amount of time irresponsable its time to pay.

Block them. If they have any legitimate business to conduct, they can do IN writing Aand validate the debt like they are supposed to.

They called you because your neighbor that is a debtor doesnt have any home, cell, relatives, associates or place of employment to call so in order to get a msg to the debtor we hope a neighbor could give it to them. Do think collectors want fo have to do all that crap just to get a debtor to pay????? NO!!!

Had a message on answering machine yesterday from a Maria - left phone # 770-933-1926. Message was - "trying to get in contact with your neighbor J.... ". Checked my caller id for that phone # and it was Frederick Hann. Did a Google search this morning and came across this site. Don't think I will be taking time from my work day to give her a call back!

Person identifying themselves as Francina Jackson calls me asking for my father. Asked for a way to contact him. Told me she was calling on behalf of Frederick Hanna, attorney, Marietta, GA. Left phone #(770) 916-9220, ext. 3749. When I started to tell her not to contact me again, she hung up.

the worst thing you can do is say you want to correspond thru mail only, your next letter might be court papers, and this is 2010 no collector is going to tell anyone they are going to jail there is not a debtor jail, your mom is 81 and didnt have a job probably no assets and other bad debt that wasnt worth the attys time. So dont tell other people to do that if you dont know about assets-which means a lean and judgement on cbr for 10yrs, place of employment which means garnishment, open credit, good credit score to get a loan. You think you got over on the atty office and to tell people to do that but face it everyone isnt your 81yr old mother.
