They called my mother and harrassed her for 30 munites until she was sobbing and unconsolable. I hung up the phone. Remember people, you can be reported to the authorities more than once!!! Go to court more than once!!! The universe has it's way of evening the playing field. These people get a high off of unauthentic power. Poor, poor pathetic souls. Lt us all take a breathe and remember the big picture and trust in the good in the world. It will all be O.K., even if it doesn"t feel that way now. You are ALL in my thoughts and prayers. :)

I called the Hanna office back when they started harassing my wife and told them that all correspondence must be through mail ONLY. Legally, they have to do it. Did not admit to the debt and mailed them a letter requesting that debt collection be paused for 30 days and that they were to email ALL DOCUMENTATION stating that they even legally owned the debt and were allowed to collect in my state. This was in May, and I have not heard from these scumbags since. If they had obtained the debt legally, they would've sent me what I asked for by now. I think they've since sold it off to someone else. So if you deal with them in a way that shows you understand what they can and can't do, they may just consider it too much trouble.

Fred Hanna is my uncle. If all you morons would pay for what you buy, and make sure you can afford it before you buy, you wouldn't have to worry about it. I'm 17 and obviously wiser than any of you. Fred is a great guy. He OFTEN pays people's debt off for them, out of his own pocket. How many other collection attorneys do you know that would do that? None. Fred is an awesome person and it pisses me off to see idiots putting him down like this. Grow up.

Seeking payment on a debt I've already been making faithful monthly payments on. No notice of default received. Demanding I sent payment to him directly. Wants me to call him back "Feral" at 1-800-450-6575 x 3629 under threat of lawsuit. Waiting to receive confirmation from person I've been sending my payments to, pursuant to an arbiration agreement. Very upseting phone call and harassment at that because he called me at work, which is something he did not have permission to do! It has runnied my whole day. I hate these collections agencies, they try to get information out of you and you have not idea if they are valid.

TO ANYONE READING THISNearly everyone that's posted in this thread, you can easily SUE these scumbags in small claims and WIN. You don't even need a lawyer. The Fair Debt Collection Practices Act has a lot of rules that these guys have broken. They left me a message on my machine identifying themselves as debt collectors, which is illegal because they're possibly giving information to your debt to someone else, and have left messages stating to call them on an "urgent business matter", which is also illegal because they fraudulently failed to identify themselves as debt collectors. BOTH of these calls are illegal, and IMMEDIATELY result in them owing me $1,000, which I just finished successfully suing them for and guess what? They've STOPPED CALLING. I just took the FDCPA section stating debt collectors identifying themselves over the phone, gave it to the judge, and he ruled in my favor.Why will you win easily you ask? Because these guys will NEVER show up. You file the lawsuit, they don't show, you give the judge a printout of the info, he makes them give you $1,000. Hit these guys where it hurts, right in their wallets! I saved 6 voicemails from them, and am saving them and suing them monthly for EACH CALL. Hello $6k, thanks shady debt collection agency! Keep the voicemails coming!So it turns out that to get them to stop calling you just have to get them to pay you $1000. Seems like a good deal to me!
