Just had the same 'lower your APR' call, but the number was from 137167663710 (called back, not active). I asked to speak to their supervisor, since I've asked to be put on their do not call list previously, so the first person that answers the phone must not be the one with authority to do that. At this point I was told they were very busy, but would I like to hold. Half an hour later (yes, I'm patient when it comes to these things) they came back on the phone. When I asked for the name of the company, I was told 'Dial Tone', and when I asked for her name, she hung up.I at least got the satisfaction that perhaps that tied up a phone line for them for a while, and hopefully they won't call back. I guess next time, I'll return their 'on hold' favour.

I received this phone call at home at about 4:30 p.m. The phone message said something about receiving a promotion to lower my interest rate on my credit card - Press '1' to lower it, or press '2' to be removed but that it was a 'time limited opportunity'. I was very suspicious of this call and pressed '1'. The person that answered the phone asked me if I wanted to lower the rate on my credit card. I said that I wanted to know who was calling me. The caller immediately hung up. I *69'd the call and got this number 772-664-4005. This is definitely a scam of some kind. As a word of caution NEVER give your credit card information out to ANYONE over the phone. Hang up if you get this call or press '2' if that is supposed to remove your number.

Got a call from this number asking me to press 9 if I wanted to lower my interest rateto 6%. i preeses 9 and then was informed i was directed to their services from one of the 3 major credit agencies. The guy on the phone asked if I kept running balances or paid my cards off in full each month. When I said I pay them in full, he replied "I bet you do" and promptly hung up. SCAM

I got the same phone call today and have gotten it at least 2x a week. It records on my phone machine. I don't ever pick it up. The only thing that bothers me about it is that the machine is downstairs and I have to run down to just see who it is. It is frustrating.I wish they would stop calling.

received a call with recorded message asking if I was interested in lowering apr on my credit cards, if so, press 6. A gentleman who identified himself as a rep for visa/mastercard retention program came on the line offering a lower rate (5.9%-6.9%) on all my existing cards if I qualify. He took my name and home phone number. After he confirmed I qualified, he asked me to hold for his manager. He came back on the line telling me we were next in the queue for his manager, please hold, and I was disconnected. Less than a minute later, I received a call from 972-407-9332 (caller ID read "Cardservices") the gentelman apologized for hanging up and passed me to his manager. Her pitch was this: lower my apr to 5.9%-6.9% on all cards "locked in for life", for a fee of $990. I would receive a full refund if I didn't recognize $2,500 savings in the first year.

same thing,they want to lower my credit card apr, recieved call 4/24/2008, 4.30pm, if you press #2 to take your number of their list it does not do any good, they call and call. I pressed the #1 to talk to a real person and when I asked the name of the company, she gave it to me, then hung up.

got a call from 661-378-7380 claiming they are going to lower my credit card rate to a little over 6%. I didn't pick up so they left a msg telling you to call back.

Phone was quiet for a few days...then thisburn in hell, i hope they do, satanic telemarketers calling them for eternity. On to the FCC....

These jerks continue to this day to place Harassing Calls to people including me... Just did the complaint to the Federal Do Not Call web site as posted above and gave them 3 different phone numbers I was called from in the last week and a half (glad I have an iphone) They use a Rotating Number list of their own so they NEVER Call you from the Same phone number.... the number listed above is by now NO LONGER USED... but they are still IN BUSINESS doing this same crap today. If you have been getting harassing phone calls from "Heather" from "CARD HOLDER SERVICES" it is a SCAM... it's about time the stinkin GOVERNMENT stopped this lousy company.... Ya THINK???I get phone calls from them from numbers listed in NY - shown on my phone as (518)324-5401 then from MN (612)808-9783 then Wa. (253)246-8510 and TODAY from TX (281)217-0241.. It's CLEAR that the Governent needs to OUTLAW this 'Rotating phone number' machine/computer programing to STOP these companies from doing this..... SOMETHING NEEDS TO BE DONE!

I have received these type of calls from 142 DIFFERENT numbers in less than six months. That's just to my cell phone. (I save the number to my "contact list" under SPAM, and give it a specific ringtone so the next time that # calls me, I will know it's a scammer). I don't have stats for my home phone, but I get probably just as many calls to that number. It's just that my phone doesn't have a way to save them all. I guess I can look at my phone bill and look at incoming calls?It's getting to the point where I don't want to have a phone anymore. Not answering isn't an option, because it's still intrusive to have 5, 6 calls a day on each line.
