Received call from this # 786-300-2335 8pm. Answered phone and was a computer woman voice stating that supposedly my MasterCard was frozen and to press 1 to reactivate. I just hung up because I know this wasn't correct. I called the # back to see what happened and got a recording of a man's voice with a foreign accent, saying how his phone # has been used for phishing scams and how he had to change his phone # to a different # and that supposedly that # that was calling people would be deactivated Ina few weeks... I think the guy is full of sh*t and is in on it.
Just got the call 9:16pm MT. Didn't answer but if it was about my MasterCard being frozen, that would be interesting considering I don't have one. I'm curious, anyone else notice an increase in these scam calls since the Target hacking drama over the holidays? Up until my card was compromised at Target, rarely did I ever receive scam calls like this. Now I get at least one a month. Just something I've noticed.
Received a call at 9:00pm (PST) saying my debit card had been frozen, and to press 1 for more info. When I did not press it, the call was disconnected. When I called back, it was clearly someone's cell phone. THIS IS A SCAM. There is nothing wrong with my debit card, they are just trying to get personal info from people.
Your bank card has been suspended , please press 1 to resolve. Sure I will.......... LOL
Called saying (unintelligible) is locked. Press 1 for security department, press 1 to unlock. Enter 16 digit account number. DON'T. Scam.
call at 2am saying there was a problem with my mastercard and to press 1 to resolve.
Recieved a call at 3 am saying they locked my MasterCard and to press 1 to resolve, sadly I don't have a MasterCard

I called Citibank's other number and confirmed this was their Consumer Support number. It is legitimate. Processed the information they needed to verify my account. I originally thought it was fraud but it is real.

We receive calls at our place of business from these people every day and they claim to be with Spectrum. It sounds like a call center in India; noisy background noise and each person who calls has a strong accent.
