Just got the same call. It has switched to "Your Debit Card" has been locked for security. I've never seen a banking company do this - Typically I get a call from the Bank - a real person to figure things out. Wow - talk about brazen!
Received a call from 786-300-2335 telling me my debit card has been suspended. Asked for my 16 digit account number, expiration date, and pin. The number has been reported.
Warning my debit card has problems and I should press 1......but I don't have a debit card.
They just called me from 786-300-2335 on my cell phone to say that "sadly" my Mastercard had been declined. No name showed in the "contact" field, but it indicated the call was from "Florida".
Same here, call on my cell from Florida saying that my card had been deactivated. Seriously? More than a month and this caller is still using this number?
I just got a call from this number. How in the world can this scam still be in operation using the SAME PHONE NUMBER months after it was first observed on this site? What regulatory body or law enforcement agency is responsible for clamping down on this crap? If there is one, it would behoove them to review this site once in awhile and track down the persons associated with these numbers. It's not like email scams where it's almost impossible to track down who sent a given email. A person tied to a phone number should be easy to track down.
Didn't recognize the # but answered it anyway! Same computer voice as others on this website, this one telling me my debit card was being deactivated and to Press 1. I hung up and called my bank anyway. Traced the phone to Miami FL....must be land of scammers!

I called Citibank's other number and confirmed this was their Consumer Support number. It is legitimate. Processed the information they needed to verify my account. I originally thought it was fraud but it is real.

We receive calls at our place of business from these people every day and they claim to be with Spectrum. It sounds like a call center in India; noisy background noise and each person who calls has a strong accent.
