It's an awkward, stupid system that doesn't explain itself, and automatically puts you on the defensive. I'm surprised they make any money but I guess the desperate use what they have to. Bad system design.

You are not charged when you answer. You set up an account after a brief FREE 60 second call and then the charge for future calls are deducted from that account. Grow up and use some common sense.

I contacted the FBI about two different occasions. In one a bank stole my mother's small inheritance. in the other it was about a fraudulent call. I got blown off on the first one and didn't even get a response on the second. I'm afraid the government is pretty unhelpful to private citizens.

This happened to me also, after I put an ad on Craigslist. After looking at all of these I am convinced it's someone targeting people who advertise things on Craigslist. I changed my Craigslist password and the password for the email I used.

i have someone in jail and he uses this service to call me from. its not a scam. you can hit the specific number to block calls from this number with out getting charged.

This 800 number and the 713 numbers are from correctional facilities which can be anywhere in the U.S. rerouted by Global Tel Link and called by an inmate, whether relative, friend or unknown inmate.

Yes folks she is right on as we have a wayward family member calling from either the 713 or the 800 number redirected from Texas and where ever by GTL.
