I get these every day. The first two calls, I called the number on the backing my card and the csr checked and there is no fraud. They even told me to ignore or block. They are asking about a purchase for another person and when I called a different number(800-824-9289) to input my entire card number. I won't be doing that. Spammers spoof caller ID's now.

It is not American Express...I called them...they always leave a message and also their phone number is on back of your card....it is a scammer.

i get this call several times a day. every time i turn in a points reward some new amex number calls me. i never answer.

Visiting a hotel in Hawaii. Received call at 6:30 a.m. from "front desk" they even did a nice job of a Hawaiian accent letting me know my credit card was missing a number and I needed to provide some missing info to pay my bill. The also wanted my address, last 4 numbers of AMEX. I called the front desk to complain about the call and front desk responded that they had not called and would never ask for info. over the phone. Immediately cancelled my AMEX (but not before the scammers got $700 from my AMEX. An hour later "AMEX called again from the 800 number above...and said they couldn't cancel my AMEX without my bank information....I continued to say "NO" and asked for a manager when the caller became rude. Strange thing "manager" sounded very similar and also became rude when I refused. He even told me I'd lose my AM EX card forever. Totally a scam....WATCH OUT...YOUR PHONE WILL EVEN SAY IT'S AMERICAN EXPRESS IN ALL CAPITAL LETTERS. IT ISN'T! I called the real AMEX back again and they said it wasn't them calling. Called this number back again...BEWARE!!!! they will ask for all of your info. even your secret question info...sounds so real FAKE, FAKE FAKE!

I keep getting these calls and they dont leave message...it is not American Express as people are stating because I called and checked.

They ask for me I tell them "he is not available right now" :-).. I have added the # to my caller id amex, do not pickup.. :-). Every day they call at least 2 times. Will they ever quit???

Called for a Kevin Weldner to verify some charges on their card. Considering this number called one day over the weekend in the evening when this office is closed, I very much doubt this is legitimate. No company who wants to verify charges will wait FOUR DAYS to verify those charges. Absolutely not AMEX DO NOT PICK UP.

Seemed shady to me. I am checking on it w Amex. With so many thieves out there it just drive me nuts. They said they wanted to offer me identity theft protection

Called again for Kevin Weldner. Has not called since the above call. This is fake. Please hang up on this call when you get it.
