I recently received a phone call with both the 1-800 number and 615 number. This scam is still going on as of 5/10/08.
This IS Verizon it is NOT a scam. it's 100% legit. They do not ask you for personal information or credit card numbers, they asked me if I wanted to pay with my account on file or a different method and informed me I could also pay by #PMT or online. Just pay your phone bill and stop saying this is a scam
I got a call from 949-286-3311 leaving a message stating they were Verizon and to call them back at 800-754-0961 regarding my account. They called my home phone. I have a copy of the recording, and it is clearly not a Verizon generated call.I highly recommend not answering any questions or calling this number. If you have Verizon, call them directly, using the number on your bill.
Just received this number as well. Working for Best Buy, a verizon seller, verizon does not own rights to this number. It is a scam. Do not give any information over this number,...BTW...pay your bill securly online or by dialing #pmt on your headset.
ive been getting this number a lot lately, and thought i was up to date on my payments, but i just logged onto my myverizon account and noticed that i did have an old past due payment i didn't even know i had. its verizon financial services. if you don't want to call the number back, check your account online!

This caller claimed to be a rep from Intuit/QuickBooks & we needed to renew our Subscription for $1899.99. After asking a few questions things sounded strange. Asked her for our PIN # & she did not give the correct number.
Call came in. Hello, hello. No response. Disconnected. Suspect possibly WELLS Fargo (WF) , but no actual idea. Don't trust one moment.
