It is possible that someone you know may have put your number on their AT&T account as a contact number and that is why you are receiving the calls. If you have not had the number for a long time maybe it used to belong to an AT&T customer and it is on an old account that is past due. Maybe someone who has a number that is close to youra and is an AT&T customer accidentally put in 1 wrong digit and put your number down as a contact number instead of theirs. There are several possibilities as to why you may be receiving the call when you do not have an AT&T account. You should not just assume it is because it is careless programming. AT&T works on an automatic dialing system and it will only call numbers that are actually listed on an account. I know this because I have been an AT&T employee for nine years doing both inbound and outbound calling. I would suggest calling them and letting them know that you are receiving the calls & you don't have an account. They will then submit a wrong number case, send it to the dialer support team who will in turn locate the number and remove it so you will no longer receive unwanted calls. If nobody knows the number is incorrect then the calls will keep coming.
I receavied an phone call earlier and would not answer because I didn't now who was calling. looked it up on line it was at&t. then called my voice mail. It said that they wanted to talk to me about my account. I don't owe them on my acc. I think they want me to upgrade. I didn;t return their their call.
It's not a scam. They don't ask for any information. They just say you need to pay your bill then hang up. You go online and pay your bill (or by phone, however you do it) through a valid ATT payment system, ie the same way you've paid it since you got it and it stops. THEY DON'T ASK FOR PAYMENT OVER THE PHONE! everyone needs to stop freaking out. I can't explain why spirint/ verizon/ and people who are not late get the call. things happen, computers can mess up too. The bottom line is no form of payment is requested by the call. they ask for no credit card information, or any information of any kind. It is simply a courtesy call stating you need to pay your bill. Everyone needs to calm down. I hope this helps.
It is AT&T. I didn't answer the call(s) because I didn't recognize the number and they never left a message. I have had service with them for years but just recently moved on to a plan with my boyfriend who was suppose to pay the bill but he didn't. So I didn't answer calls from them and today my phone was cut off. I am adding the number to my contacts so I won't get cut off again.
Im taking the time to type this to whatever company calls me every day @ same time its really not getting my attention the right way. Dont want to ever answer this call. I never answer this call
its not a scam its an at&t payment reminder i was never asked for any credit card info just reminding me about my payment so i dont get my service shut off
