just call them back if you are having trouble making your payment on time that is the only time they call you. Call them back make a payment or arrange a payment they don't want to interrupt your services they just want to help you ....
Got a call from this number today but missed it. They didn't leave a message. If it was from AT&T/Cingular about a late payment, then they're wrong. I've never been late and 100% positive that I made a payment this month. Also, I've never received a call from ATT before, so I don't think this is ATT unless it's a marketing call for some sort of extra service. Sounds like telemarketing or a scam to me.Beware of giving sensitive info over the phone. If you access to the internet, double check your account to make sure what is being said is accurate.
I have 2 phones on my account. They called the one that is not the primary number. This was a red flag to me. I always pay my bill ahead of time. So it's got to be a scam.
I keep receiving calls from this number and I haven't had AT&T service in 15 years and certainly not the wireless account that they are calling about. I tried to tell them to stop calling me but the guy wanted my social security number. I said forget that and then he told me that he couldn't help me. I think the whole thing is backdoor telemarketing -- all the prompts try to lead you to sales and service. Fine - my phone is registered with Do Not Call registry; I have filed a complaint and I hope they do something about it.
For everyone saying this is a "SCAM" -- please note that someone may have used your phone number when they opened the account. And therefore it is legitimate ATT/Cingular collection calls, but they're not looking for you but someone else.
I got a call from this number today. It is without a doubt Cingular or the new and improved AT&T. They hadn't posted my online payment and it was a reminder call from them. I happen to love that they do this. I've had my electricity turned off once or twice in 40 years and it's very irritating. I've been a customer of our small electric co-op for very long, and it pisses me off that they do this. If the moron comes to our house on the first Wednesday of the month, the SOB collects an extra 35 bucks. We're on 40 acres with a locked gate and I'd love my dog to bite his rear end. I've been with BellSouth/Cingular/AT&T since '82, that was a bag phone and a trunk phone. The guy from Cingular/AT&T thanked me for my longtime patronage. The worst cell phone company is Sprint and it's only appropriate they took over Nextel. Which is a close second! Working over 30 years for the gov't as an analyst, I've used every cell phone imaginable. I can honestly say I'm a happy Cingular/AT&T customer. I'm not on their payroll either!
I got this call too. I called custemer service and asked about my acount. I was told it was ok and my bill was payed. I was told to ignour the call.
AT&T Wireless calling about a past-due bill. I logged into my account and my bill wasn't due for another two weeks. I paid anyway, and got another call from them a few hours later for the same reason -- even though my balance was zero!
this is a SCAM. This message was recieved this morning at my Cell Phone store. None of my employees nor myself have this phone number listed on their account. ATT nor their computer systems have any way to tie this phone number to any of our accounts. They may not be a con company but they are using guerilla tactics, and they are profiting in some way.
