It's Capital One QQing about that federal legislation on credit cards. Cry more, crooks.

NEVER NEVER NEVER...DO NOT EVERGive anyone your personal information when they initiate first contact...When they call me they get a quick good-bye..If it sounds legit, I go to the file drawer and get a statement for that provider and call them using one of the phone numbers I have on file.I have AVOIDED more than one scam attempt by following this procedure.

They called saying they were Capital One, said there is new legislature bill being passed or something in february. If you go over your credit limit your credit card will be canceled automatically instead of having an over limit fee.

I received calls from this number two days in a row. I don't answer calls from numbers I don't recognize, and I expect legitimate callers to leave a message.

The calls started tuesday. Theres been 7,varies in time from 2 till 5pm. It is the same number on my cap one card but they should leave a message instead of calling every day, even on saturday.IMO

I received a call from this number too a few days ago. To start, I could not anything the guy was asking me. I think he was calling from India or something. He wanted to verify my credit card number. I told him I didn't have my card with me and that sorry I was busy at work. I was wanna call capital one to find out if this call came from them but I forgot about it. I was checking my numbers on my cell phone tonight and looked at it online.

I just called Capital one directly and they told me that the # 800-955-7070 is theirs and that they wanted to give me some kind of offer for the good standing account. And again I talked to someone with an Indu accent. I guess Capital One switch all their calls to a center in India. That's why the economy of this country is going down every day. That's why people can't find jobs these days.

I started receiving these calls about a week ago. They call maybe every other day, but every day that they do call, it's like 3 times- morning, afternoon, and evening! It must only ring once, because all I ever hear is my 'Missed Call' ring, and I see 1-800-955-7070 on the caller ID. I have had a Capital One card for years, and this is the first time I've ever gotten calls from them. Weird that they would only let it ring once and never leave a msg.
