Card holder services is trying to scam people please make them stop. Take away there phone numbers!!!

I get calls like this from all over the country so reporting them does no good. They just move operations to another city. The calls will keep coming. Here us what I do. I know everybody out there is busy, but if you have the time and enough minutes on your phone, string them along for five minutes or so. Make up answers to their questions. When they ask you for credit card info, say "hold on and I'll go get my cards." Put the phone down for a few minutes then come back and tell them what you really think of them. It won't stop the calls but you've wasted their time and spared some decent person from this scam. It also makes me laugh. But that's just me.

Someone gave this website:www.cardmemberservices.com/cmsindex.htmlwhich has phone numbers, email address, and physical location. Is it legit? They say their numbers are 24/7 so we can call during off-times and tie up their business, give out their email all over the Internet, and write their number on every bathroom wall in the country.

I keep getting this credit card spam calls asking for personal info. No matter how many times i tell them to stop they say we'll talk to you tomorrow. Help. I can't stand it any more...

Usually conspiracy theories are nonsense, but this is perfectly plausible. The phone companies loves the racket where someone else incurs a charge on your line, such as by calling you. They certainly do not have an incentive to stop spam calls, as you point out. Same way they had to be forced to stop allowing criminals to sign your line up for extra services such as jokes by text or whatever, and bill you through your phone bill. When you'd call your phone provider to complain, they'd say they have no control over it (they buckle if you press them, because of course you have no contract with the criminal that inserted the unauthorized service on your line). But you wonder how many people gave up and just paid it, because you can't reach the criminals themselves to request a refund (nor should you have to).

I get called every day from this number - The first time they called, I asked them to stop calling and they hung up on me. I have received calls every day since.They want to consolidate my debit and I don't have any!
