Got a call tonight. Much of the info she said she had for me was incorrect, so I stopped the interview. I asked for a phone number to verify that this is the US Census Bureau. She gave me the 1-888-555-1212 number and a number to ask them to verify. I did. The number she gave me 1-888-419-7586 is NOT a Census Bureau number. Her call actually emanated from 812-218-3144. This is obviously a scam and I am reporting it to our state attorney general first thing tomorrow. I encourage you to do the same.

No it does not ease my mind considering the census is every ten years and it's 2014 while the next census is in 2020.

I got the form in the mail twice and threw it out twice, and have been getting calls ever since. This is OUTRAGEOUS that our government (you know the one Of The People, By The People, FOR The People) is not only asking for this information, but they are threatening punishment, AND WE PAID FOR THIS!!!! This is literally a criminal act as stated by Amendment #4 of The Constitution against unreasonable search and seizure folks!!! WHEN are Americans going to finally wake up en masse and STOP this INSANITY!!!

I received a call while driving today. He told me that he was from the Census Bureau. Something just didn't feel right- Census Bureau would not call when it's only been 4 years since last census was taken. I told him I did not like to talk on phone while driving and hung up.

I also received the post mail. I filled in and sent it even though i am international student. I thought I did well. however I received the post mail again and three times call. They even know all my information even social security number. I was in the panic at now by this casual action of government.What will happen in future on me?I just stay here legally and finish my ph.d program.

If this is legitimate, why are these people calling my cell phone, since I never put that number down on any documents? I think it's a scam since I have gotten what sounds like the same woman calling me from two different numbers. I am on the Do Not Call for a reason- don't call me.

I never filled out any census form. They have my information from the taxes I pay. Stop calling me. I never received a census form. Bite me.

812-218-3144 and 520-798-4152 are not part of the Census Department. I stated that I am a federal employee and I know for a fact the census reps don't make phone calls nor do they call on a sunday. I even asked the person if they are an actual employee what region is the chicago office located in, guess what they couldn't answer. Federal employees know the regions of their field offices. And just so happens that office is in the building I work in. People the census bureau should be questioned as to what region they are in and if they can't answer it is phony.

There is nothing absolutely nothing in the constitution that says anything about participating in a census zero zip nadda . So Bullpuckey
