I did answer a call from Nielsen Ratings about 3 years ago and told them then that I've not watched TV in over 10 years and still don't......so why am I constantly being called?! Do they really think that if I've not watched TV in over 10 years I'm going to suddenly go back to doing so? NOT!
This is a good company. A long time ago I participated in a thing where I entered the shows I watch in a diary and was paid for it. I do something now for them in which I scan my purchases and then transmit it to them. The call I received today was for a radio survey. I will keep a diary for a week and then send it back in a prepaid envelope. They said Me and my wife would both get 15.00 each for our time. Sounds like a easy 30.00 to me. I have done stuff for this company currently and in the past and they can be trusted. They are not selling you anything at all. You don't get lots of junk mail from them and I have never known them to sell your personal information to others.
The problem is they are calling my cell phone several times a day and using up minutes paid for by me. I am on the DNC list and think it is quite reasonable to expect them to obey the law and not call.
Every day I received phone calls from Nielsen Ratings. I do not want them to call me any more.
If you don't want to participate in the Nielsen ratings, tell them you work at a TV or radio station. They'll leave you alone, because broadcasting employees are not allowed to participate in ratings surveys.
Yup, Nielsen ratings. Told them up front I do not watch tv. Did the survey and told them that I had four TV's. They are sending me four diaries to fill out. I'm sure that there is monies involved even though I... do. not. watch. tv. or. have. cable.
