Yesterday the caller ID said 'UNKNOWN NAME", today it said "NEILSEN RATINGS". I have no intention of answering their surveys nor have I ever done so in the past. Unpublished numbers and the 'Do Not Call List" are useless.
DO NOT CALL me randomly again....FINAL WARNING...on NO CALL LIST and will take legal action...
Good reply, I'll forward all of the daily 5-6 repeat calls to you. They even called my home Sunday evening at 8:53pm EST! A--H*le
get too many calls from t hese idiots, and I NEVER ANSWER THEM. I AM NOT INTERESTED . I AM ON THE DO NOT CALL LIST , BUT THAT IS A JOKE 11111
These people have called over 70 times in the last 3 months, using 3 different phone numbers. Sometimes the ID will say "Nielsen Ratings", sometimes "Unknown", sometimes "Toll Free Call" and sometimes, "Nielsen Media Ratings". Today, was the FIRST (of dozens of calls) time they've left a message, saying simply: "If you haven't started your diary yet, do so now". If this was TRUELY Nielsen, why would they continue to call a number at which there is no answer ??? Number pre-fixes are 813 ; 800 ; and 727. My machine answers with the 3 "Out-of Order", tones, then a 5 second pause, then answers in a British woman's voice: "We are sorry.......The number you have reached.......is currently......unavailable, (then a long pause) Please leanve a message at the tone". Unless it is bill collector or a scam, why do they keep calling?
At first I tried to avoid these calls but then I looked the number up and realized it was Nielsen. They called again and I decided I'd answer it. Im glad I did. All they wanted was for our household to keep track of all the television programs we watch for a week in a log book (which they sent). The woman I spoke with told me that for me agreeing to do the survey they were going to send me $30 cash along with the materials I needed to keep track of our shows. About 5 days later I received the envelope in the mail with the 30 bucks. Im a stay at home mom and I enjoy making easy money doing these things. Plus, I think its our only way to get our voices heard about the garbage thats all over the tv when the children are most likely to be watching (between 3 and 7pm).
