This number has shown up in my Caller ID twice every day for the past 3 days. Full disclosure: I do have some outstanding medical bills, and one from HCA. However, this number displays with Not Available as the name. When I answer, there is no one one the line. They do not leave messages. They have called at today 3/26 at 10 am, yesterday 8 am and 12 noon, and Monday 3/25 at 8 am and noon. If they are legit, as some posters have said, they should leave a message or speak to me when I answer.
These people are located at 3600 Harwood Rd. Bedford, Tx 76021.Suite B.. They are a collection agency. They come under HCA, Inc. which comes under Parallon Business Systems, which is located in another state..They have called me during the 3rd Week in March, 2013.. I called the number on my caller ID.after blocking my number. and these people wanted name, SS#, address, etc..Of course I would not provide any info. What I do is threaten a lawsuit if harassment continues. Collection agencies very seldom check to see if the number that is being manually dialed or by auto dailer actually is correct for the person they are attempting to reach. They search by address get number and dial...It is ironic that I lived in Bedford ,Tx.quite sometime ago and know exactly where they are...
I do not think bill collectors should call after 5pm anywhere, but i have to ask how did they wake up your babies? in this age of techn ology you set ring tones on a home phone or cell phone to something low and manageable.l
called me too, but i dont have any medical collections.. i called them back but i couldn't make out the name of the company.
This doesn't mean people did not pay their bills. My son was in the hospital for most of April. The bills that are being generated haven't reached us yet, we don't even have an account number. I dislike how many time the number robo called my home and hung up on me. I disliked not knowing that they were the people who, when it all shakes out, will contact you if you have not made payment arrangements and make them with you. They go about it badly. I got one really nasty rep, and one rep that straightened everything out and now we are all [NPAS, the hospital billing dept and my family] on the same page. I had never heard of this company before today. They have a SERIOUS problem if they think I will give out my sons s.s. number, in it's entirety. Call the number back when they call you, and try to explain what the situation is. If you get an asshat, hang up, wait a while, then call back and try to speak with someone else. Also, complain to the billing dept of the medical place where you had your testing, or the hospital you were in, and let them know that you have a problem with NPAS, especially since their number comes up as "unidentified" on the caller I.D [We gave permissions for calls to come to the house, letting us know who is calling would NOT violate hippa.]
Got several calls from this number. I researched it. They are medical bill collectors National Patient Account Services for HCA aka HealthCare.
I know they are legit because after I refused them the info, I called the billing dept of the hospital my son was in, to lodge a complaint. I had NO IDEA who they were, and would never give out info to someone who was listed as "unavailable" and cold called the house, a lot of people know my son was in the hospital, so you know the freaks will come out to play sniffing around for info. The hospital claimed they told us NPAS did billing for them, but I beg to differ. I have looked over ever piece of paper I was given and the name appears no where.. The company isn't the best, but they do billing for a lot of hospitals. The first rep I spoke to was a [***]. I told her their number robo called me a lot and I was going to block it. She said fine, I'll send you to collections @@ @@ @@ Collections for a bill that has not been generated in it's entirety yet? [Hospitalization during April] I don't think so.Do your best to talk sense to them, and if it fails, call the place you owe directly and ask for their help. Our hospital got them off our backs, indeed, they didn't know why we were contacted yet.
