That there is no "fair credit act". There is a Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, but that does not cover or have anything to do with first party creditors. But even so, a third party debt collector is allowed to call relatives, friends, and jobs, with certain restrictions. There are 5 states that cover creditors in their collection laws.
Claimed to be chase fraud department regarding a card I have but said in message to be prepared to give my account number when calling them back. Hell no! I checked my chase account and all looked well so I didn't call back.
This is chase bank. Called bc someone tried to open a cc with my info. I called equifax to confirm and it's true.
Calls and never leaves a message. Block them. I don't answer phone calls from numbers I am unfamiliar with. If it was truly important, a message would have been left.

The person called to verify employment of someone, but I didn't recognize the person's name. The caller had an accent, and I couldn't understand them. I didn't call back to let them know they had reached a wrong number.

Unsolicited call. Wanted me to complete my "voter profile." I've voted from this address for over 20 years.
It happened to me they got into my computer and got all bank info they took over $4000. from me left me with nothing. Don't trust anyone this was a setup.
