This is correct! Just had this phone conversation as well. Can confirm this IS in fact Chase Bank fraud department.
I've been receiving calls from this number for several months now. Illinois comes up on my phone with this number. I don't answer calls if I don't know them. Number 1 way to protect yourself. So tonight I finally googled this number and got this website. Then I blocked the caller from being able to call. If it was somebody who knew me or a doctor they would leave a voice mail. Never this one.
This is one of many phone calls from different strange numbers from these past 2 weeks. I havent answered any, but all seem to be part of "chase bank" after looking them up. Ive never been affiliated with chase bank in my life, nor do i own a credit cars, so clearly a scam of some sort.
This is definitely a legitimate Chase number. I had entered a dispute regarding some credit card charges online last week; this was a callback to confirm that i wanted to put a stop payment on those charges. I was NOT asked for any personal information, card numbers, etc. Don't assume that every caller who doesn't leave a message is a crook and definitely don't assume that everyone who posts here to declare a number a "confirmed" scam knows their rear end from a subway tunnel.

I have no credit cards and have never done any business with Chase. Sounds like a scam to me.
My work phone is being called by this number claiming to be CHase bank. My Chase bank said it's not them.

I received a text with this phone number stating that it was from the United States Postal Service and that I needed to open up an urgent notice from them.
called and then hung up, left him a kurt voicemail about wasting peoples time. scammers are prevalent, be careful and don't answer this call
