received a message from heavy, not understandable Indian lady. She also called my husband's cell, but he didn't answer. He does have a Chase linked Credit Card (Continental) and he did have a fraud/disputed item on it, but he had already called it in and received a new card. Even though the caller ID says Chase, I also don't trust it. Let them send us the paperwork for the dispute if we need to. I also don't trust when they have foreigners who barely speak English call (if it was Chase). Perhaps scammers are hacking into Chase database to get some information and somehow making the call look like it's from Chase. We will not call it back, not give out any info.
Do you know what the rules are for weekdays? I just received a call at 6:03 AM, that is pretty ridiculous.
Caller with Indian accent identifies himself as calling from "Chase Cod Services". He says "this is an inquiry, are you represented by an attorney?" I told him "I don't know, I haven't had a Chase Card for years. Do you want money?" He would not answer the question and asked me again, if I am represented by an attorney... I think that if this was really from Chase, I would have been told I have an overlooked account balance, or I have an amount due, etc.. I asked again, "what do you want, do you want money?" Again the attorney question. I hung up because I do not provide information to anyone that will not address the bottom line.
I just got a call from this number, and I do not have a Chase-affiliated card. While the number that shows up on the caller ID may be a "legitimate" number, scammers are able to spoof a number in order to trick you. If you question the authenticity of a call, It's always best to call the 800# you have on file for your card.
It is indeed Chase fell behind in payments thought i had made arrangements after being released from hospital. I have received calls 1 an hour from this number. Last time the woman on the other end couldn't even be understood as she mumbled and finally time out on my answering service. They lied to me about everything kept collecting fees and when I brought account current after being told they would remain open suspended until i showed good standing again they were closed.
I don't know why these people call without leaving a message to identify. I NEVER answer calls with numbers I don't recognize and that is true for everyone I know. All numbers of this type go on my do not call list and I identify them on my phone as spam.
Have been getting repetitive calls from this number. When I call back it says Chase credit card offering a lower interest rate. I called the legit Chase Card member and they said they do not make phone calls to offer. DO NOT GIVE THEM INFORMATION
I received call from this number early in the morning on Memorial Day. Husband just picked up phone and handed to me so I didn't even look at number. Some woman on the phone kept asking for someone but her accent was so heavy I could not understand anything she was saying. I just said I cannot understand you and hung up. No other calls so far
