To respond to the ranter about Chase, he is on the mark. Chase raped the American people worth Obama, Reid and Pelosi's assistance. This is Chase, but they have a horrible telephone database, on top of people not giving their real phone number.I hate the POS Chase for many reasons. Call then needing help and they are worthless. If you are late even one day with a credit score of 800, they seem to have the manpower to pester you. In my case, they called to claim that I owed them money on five credit cards. No.... I carry no balances. Yet another cluster from this corrupt bank.
If this is legitimately from Chase Bank, and it so darn important, why can't they send me mail? Or even e-mail. They have both addresses.
I received a voicemail from this number, saying they were from Chase card services and were calling about an inquiry I had made. They left another number and an extension. Since I didn't remember any inquiry, I called the Official Chase number on the back of my card. They confirmed that a message was left on my home number and on this day, etc. The call was regarding a dispute from last summer that I had forgotten about. I would say the number in question is legitimate and is affiliated with JP Morgan Chase.
In my case, this was JPMorgan Chase Bank. They called me 3 times. Left a message 2 times and no message the third time. It was their fraud department following up on a complaint I filed with my corporate credit card. Enterprise Rent-A-Car charged me about $600 too much. So let me take this chance to complain about Enterprise. I contacted them 5 times without resolution. 2 calls to the fraud department and a week later, they (Chase, not Enterprise) called me to make sure I was satisfied with the $613.88 refund.
This number 847-426-9209: repeatedly calls. Asking for an individual we have never heard of. Also we have no affiliation to this bank whatsoever...
This number is Chase. Remember that if you change phone numbers, they might be trying to get hold of someone who had your number before you. I still get calls on my iPhone looking for the guy who had it before me because he is apparently running from debt collectors or maybe an airhead.
This is either an attempt to collect a debt from CHASE Card Services or some other Service provided by CHASE. If you are receiving a call from this number and you do not have a CHASE account (and have not applied for one recently)it is likely that someone had your number before you that did. I have also seen where people that want CHASE to stop calling them on their past due debt will place an alternate phone number (normally someone the do not like) in the system to "update their contact information". I am a consumer advocate and I also wanted to let you all know that it is illegal to call prior to 8AM and after 9PM for a "licensed debt collector". This is someone who is licensed as such. The people that are calling are licensed as lenders and are not subject to the FDCPA. Meaning the up to $1,000.00 per harassing phone call is pursuant to the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act. However, they will not intentionally contact you during those hours unless you have requested them to do so. I hope that my information is helpful.
