To everybody complaining about getting a bunch of calls, blah blah blah, just answer the damn thing. It's an Emergency Alert number. For example, my city uses it to alert us of "Snow Emergencies", which is very necessary because with a snow emergency we are not allowed to park on the street and get towed if you do. Without these phone calls I would have no idea when we have a snow emergency. Also, for everybody writing notes on this website saying "take me off your list" or whatever, you crack me up. You do realize this is a random website that has nothing to do with the number, right?

What sort of genius carries (much less ANSWERS) a cell phone in an emergency surgery environment? I hope to God I'M never in your OR for a life saving procedure.... I'd probably dies while you answered your stupid phone. LOL

They called me @ 11:30 pm est. The guy on ther other end was not from the US( could hardly speak english).The caller ID said ECN community. Told him not to call again, he proceeded to call back 4 times in a rowI was so irate I told him where the sun don't shine.I called the # from my work phone the next morning, and it sent me to a code red from my home town.The message was 30 days old for a snow storm alert. I am not sure who the guy was on ther other end of the phone was , but I am damn sure he wasn't from my hometown calling at 11:30pm at night! Idiots!

Got a call from this number which appeared on the caller Id as ECN Community, they called back to back 3 times, I never picked up because I didn't recognize that # The consensuses on this site says its a # from Code Red an emergency reporting agency.

Linda, this number belongs to the people in your city that call you to alert you to what is going on in you area of the city. Such as Local meeting, Storm Warnings, Special elections, Sex Offenders moving in next door. You had to have signed up for it. Better take your name off the list so you don't get calls while you are in such a position again or turnoff your phone,.

Just got a call from this number; it was a reminder that street cleaning was starting next month. I intentionally signed up for this service, and it seems to be used quite effectively. It sounds like in some other towns, the local town has just put everyone's landline number into the call list. It's a shame that it sounds like some scammers are spoofing this number on their caller ID; I highly recommend answering calls from this number, because you never know what emergency they might be notifying you of.

It's a computer caller. Computer can't leave messages unless it is set to do so. When you have to call a list of people all at once, a human can not do that.

This was my city street sweeping department letting me knwo that street sweeping was starting on April 1st and to check the city's website for schedules so we don't get towed. No scam here, at least for me.
