Well, I'm with you, John! If it really WAS an emergency, it don't matter cause they've done wore us out with multiple unwarranted calls. If it continues, I hope it IS GOD to say that they won't be calling from this number and aggravating us ever again, otherwise take my number offa the list!

Called at 12pm saying shortage of reclaimed water gave a callback number I looked up it is the city"s water gov office number it called 2 times in a min I was already on phone returning a friend"s call then it left a message.

This is a code red call. You have to sign up for them, so if you're getting them...you asked for it.

I am on a do not call list & I keep getting calls from this number and no one is there. It's very annoying, since I'm 86 and have difficulty getting to the phone.

Red alert for our area about mail theft. This one is true. I verified with the county sheriff.

My caller ID simply said "Toll Free Call". They did call multipal times in a short period. If this was on the up and up, why not disclose who you are on the caller ID? I suspect that some of the posts here may be fake.

This is a nation wide number that is registered with local communities who sign up for the services they offer. They usually call if bad storms, floods, etc... are headed towards the area you live in, and/or pass on local information for services such as Gun buy back programs, or other special programs being held.

This is Palm Bay, FL. Usually these calls are for local alerts, mostly safety matters, sometimes code red.. But this one was for advertising (a whole minute) the Friday FREE community "party in the park" outdoor event. This is a very small town. Yes, this phone number and caller ID should be used for emergency broadcasting only, I believe.

Legit caller - called to inform of a restriction on watering lawns between 3am and 8am due to drought in my area....

I did not answer because of all the weird calls I get. However, this is legit. They left a message - investigation of a homicide which may involve the robberies in my area. Warning to lock doors on both house and cars and to report any suspicious behavior.
