855-969-4636 called both my cell and landline simultaneously just now. Cell doesn't have mail and computer only left a ½ word message on the landline prior hanging up. For an emergency system... not too good. I get calls from both my local HI and WI emergency networks using 866-419-5000... always leaves a full message. Certainly good to know about tornadoes in WI or tsunamis and/or typhoon conditions in HI.

Someone is spoofing this number. The message left was clearly not emergency related "the 900 lines are open to speak to a psychic." If it's real code red it should say so.This just showed up in caller ID as the number and "United States"

Auquarian water

Called at almost 11:00 PM but hung up as soon as I answered. Another commenter on this site said to call the number back to see what they are announcing. It was a city emergency service telling me there was a severe weather threat. As if I couldn't tell by the thunder, lightning, high winds and hail!

This is local city “code RED” number. I signed up for texts and emergency calls from my city. They called to tell me about a severe weather situation. Saving this number in my contacts so no further confusion

In my case this was Aquarion Water CT leaving a detailed message about a major water main break in Danbury CT near the hospital, I think. Major disruption of service. They left a long detailed message to boil water or use bottled water until further notification that the main had been repaired . I DID sign up for these alerts.HOWEVER, any number can be spoofed, so if you get hangups etc, no message, it’s probably a spoof of this legit number. They ALWAYS leave a message in voicemail, so just be wary of repeat calls, hangups.

What is the emergency?

telemarketers scammers , trying to get people to pickup , they use all numbers , even harrass children , family members ,they are vexed vanities of iniquities , you know what they say what goes around comes around , paybacks are hell! PSALM 91 AMEN.

It's time to take a stand against telemarketers , scammers contact congress, senators, representatives petition to stop these phone phising schemes lawsuits reimbursevictims , consumers , give to real needy , poor , charities ban together stop the greedy vexed scundrels for good amen.
