this is an emergency message to get your personal info in the city alert code in case of a hurricane or other disaster...answer this number and do as it says it could be the difference between life and death in an emergency

I know this is an emergency number warning of impending emergencies, but I just got it and there was no recorded message-just silence.

This number left a message stating that some event was postponed from today until next Saturday, June 18. Not sure who this is.

I got here trying to check it out. Was blocked by Mr Numbers. I'm in AZ would have no reason to get an emergency alert.

Keeps calling.

calls from this number, voicemail says it's from New Jersey devils want to talk to me about a promotion.

Just got a call leaving a voicemail that due to a water main break there is a boil water alert in my neighborhood. I have never had a call from this number when they didn't leave a message and all have been legit. I signed up for the alert on the City website. Call my home phone and my cell.

I answered it and it said wait for an important message. There was never any message.. all you people saying it's not a scam.. You must work for that number.. it's an 855 number.. 90% of those are scams.. wake the hell up people..

I live Northwest of Chicago. We had 80 MPH winds come through here last night, power is down all over the city and north suburbs, and trees are down, intersection lights are out, etc. We know the drill here, and it was obvious what went on. It is long over and cleanup has begun. The cable TV is interrupted every 5 minutes with ear piercing sirens to announce that the power is out (duh? Power is OUT, guys)This number has called my main house phone NINETEEN times today (it is now 5:15 pm). As soon as they call the main line, my unlisted business phone rings. I have never made a call on this phone, it is not even listed in my name and it is listed to a California address. The phone rings 10 times and then hangs up. Then later they call back, first line #1 then line #2. I have answered this call 4 times already. The first time was at 8:10 AM. I jumped out of my skin thinking something had happened to someone. The calls have picked up now that it's dinner time and it's so bad I took the phone off the hook and told those woh might call to call my cell phone. This is harassment. I'm not sure why Political and government calls are exempt from this. Between the constant BS from political people, credit card offers, Comcast checking up on Whatever and Donate-your-clothes charities calling, it's a wonder I ever get a regular call.
