This is a legitimate call. We had a boil advisory for water here in North Carolina. It was a call saying that it was OK to now consume the water and that boil water notice was lifted.

This number was a Code Red number which was used by our town to make announcements regarding school closures, power restoration and shelter options during a recent snow storm emergency. A message was left on both cell and home phones as many phone lines were also down. I appreciated getting informed this way.

Called and it was a recording saying to press such and such number I hung up it said even community never heard of them

Is this an actual ECN number here in Wisconsin? Two calls today, 3.5 hours apart-- first that there was a situation in our area and for all residents to stay inside. Then a call from an 866 number giving the all-clear, 3.5 hours later.

I got a call and a text saying the boil order has been lifted. ? I am not sure what city it was for because I have notifications for my old residence and my new residence in 2 different states.

The number may beliong to an emergency information system but that doesn't mean all calls from it are from that service. Scammers often spoof legitimate phone numbers to try and fool people into answering.

This is the Anne Arundel County, Maryland Department of Health notification hotline. Received a call/notice at about vacination program of wild racoons. IMHO, this is an excellent example of public notification.

I just received a call and text stating the water boil has been lifted. I live in Northern Jeffco MO. I called the water district and they said it was not them but someone else. They are investigating.

Then AACo needs to let the public see their name on our caller ID!! I will never, ever answer a county, state, or federal call with no caller ID info allowed!!
