Just had the same thing happen to me regarding my 'microsoft computer', hung up on them. He definitely sounded like he was reading off of a script.
I got a call from this number and the guy with the heavy accent this morning. Same spiel, they had detected that there was a problem with my internet security and that I had a virus, and that I had to turn on my computer so he could check on it. He said he had the license number for the software, so I told him to tell me the license number so I could write it down and compare it to my computers. He's like "No, you have to turn on your computer and then I can tell you". I kept telling him that if he had the license number there, then he needed to tell it to me so I could write it down. I fought with him on it for a couple of rounds, then told him I knew this was a scam so he could get remote access to my computer. He he said no, it wasn't. I then asked to speak to his supervisor. He said "I am the supervisor." I said "Okay, then I'd like to speak with your manager." He said "I am the manager. I'm the boss." I told him "I find that very hard to believe. I'd like your phone number so I can call you back."He hung up. Go figure.
I also got a call from this number in "in Bristol, CT" We don't answer, no message left. Sounds like some of you have had some fun despite the annoyance. I just thought of a good one I could use but wont -don't want them to know they have a good number. I would love to get them to fix the virus or problem on my Commodore 64, which won't connect to the internet (and yes I do have one still in the box),
Received a call this morning from this number. I told him it was a BS call and that I didn't even run on Windows. He hung up right away.
I got the same call, but I've never used Geek Squad. So I don't think that's how they got the info.

just got a call from 888-431-7820. Told me I was breach of contract. Very hard to understand the lady. I dont have a contract with anyone that I know of. When I look to see the number call it tells me Claim Services.
