I get a call from 888-123-4567 about 4-5 times a day. I was able to answer it once and it was a recorded voice telling me that this was a telemarketing call and then it hung up. I wonder if this is happening all over the country. I'm in Atlanta. I noticed quite a few people mentioned Wells Fargo in reference to this call. They are our mortgage holder. Is there a link?

Same here. I get several calls a day and they always hang up when I say hello. My mortgage is with Wells Fargo as well.

No message left or hang up. My roomie says they are asking for me and did not want to leave a callback number.

I've been getting calls from that same number. Like 10+ times a day. My mom actually picked up the phone once they asked for some common information. Another time they asked who was home and what kind of security system I'm running. Worse one was offering me porn. Here's my most ridiculous one. They called my neighbors telling them to go to my house and say some guy wants us to call him back. We don't even know him.Today thus far I've been counting if its not an unknown/private number its 1-888-123-4567 that number popped up 6 times thus far from this post.

Constantly with these guys...but now after reading all these posts and what it's about, I believe it's time to answer the phone and have a little fun with these guys with the help from one of the movie soundboards on the computer

(888) 123-4567 has called me 5 times already today. I answered once, and they asked for Mark then my last name. I hung up as soon as they asked the name. I'm assuming they've mistaken Mary for Mark. This is extremely frustrating. My mortgage is also with WF.

I have received 8 calls from this number, no one is ever on the line and trying to call it back is useless. It comes up as 800 Service and the number is 1-888-123-4567.THE PHONE COMPANY NEEDS TO ALLOW CUSTOMERS TO BLOCK CALLS FROM UNWANTED PARTIES & SPECIFIC NUMBERS! WE PAY THEM - THEY SHOULD SERVE US!

I also have a mortgage through Wells Fargo. After reading these posts, it sounds like Wells Fargo has given out their customer list with private information. I receive 4 to 5 calls a day from this number since May and I live in Michigan. So it's fair to assume that Wells Fargo customers all over the country are getting these annoying calls.

So, Wells Fargo sold our phone numbers to scammers? Is that what's happened? I've gotten over 10 calls from 888-123-4567 today alone. :(

Glad I went Googling. This started about a week or so ago. When I saw 888-123-4567 I assumed it was a spoofed #, so I have never answered, but it is good to hear some feedback. I too am w/ Wells Fargo, so apparently someone has gotten a hold of Wells' customer list. Whether it was bought or stolen, it seems pretty obvious that this is a total scam.
