I passed the Haverhill course without much trouble. It seemed overwhelming at first and then I got organized. I lost points on several lessons because of things that had nothing to do with my abilities. I'm going to share what I learned. I lost points on the first 3 lessons. I used the same house for all three but they wanted me to use 3 different houses. I lost points because I accidently used the same picture twice. They deducted for that. One of the lessons called for pictures of each room completely empty. I have fibermyalgia and couldn't empty rooms and move furniture out. Haverhill didn't care that I had a physical problem. They deducted points for no pictures of empty rooms. I lost my lesson 1 booklet so I printed the forms out on the computer but because I didn't have the booklet I didn't have the paperwork for each room in the proper order they were in the booklet. I lost points for that. None of these things had anything to do with my staging ability. So I think Haverhill will use any reason to prevent a student from passing! however, subjective. I don't think they are a scam. THey won't hold your hand so you have to be a selfstarter and if you're not a selfstarter you probably won't be successful as a stager.

Telemarketing is legal but it should not be. It is highly harassing to some people, especially when no one answers and especially when people get numerous telemarketing/scam phone calls each week/month and especially when it is with an automated dialer, if we and the phone call are that important have a human call us, I do not care about your company saving a few bucks with automated dialers.

fripouille,Now that you have seen this list of questions...do you feel that these are the same as you had? Also, I was curious if you have a court date?

I took the course, got accreditation but of course no job offer, they gave me credit for my excercise for delcutter and trades men but they never contacted my people and couldn't tell me if letters of confirmation had been sent out for my credentials! So what good is the accredation if they never helped or gave more than cryptic answers to questions or comemts on my work?

Received a call again...nothing but dead air, and we are supposed to accept this??? "But we do have the right to test market a particular medium without being bullied into submission by being called scammers."Sure and we have the right not to receive harassing phone calls in our home, a dead air call can be considered a harassing call and is punishable by law. Obviously the third party hired is an absolute joke.

Thanks for you impartial statement. Just wanted to know how it has turned out for you. I, too, am thinking about doing the course and live in America. Did you have the same difficulties as the people posting all the negative posts or has your experience been different?

About the woman who calls herself Lisa for the Haverhill Institiute of Staging and Design - doesn't her voice sound similar to Anna from The Moving Company?
